We feel so blessed to be planning for our Wedding Day. The day that God has brought us to, in His wonderful plan for our lives. Over our whole relationship it has been evident to us that if we just trust Him, God has great things planned for us. Our desire is to serve and grow in the Lord as we join together as husband and wife this April.
      God's timing is always perfect! - and ours isn't. It's amazing how if you just give all of your worries or concerns to God, He blesses you abundantly when you least expect it.
      Kara had just graduated from CBU with her degree in Visual Art in 2002. She moved to the San Fernando Valley with her friend Shawna to complete a graphic design program. She was content to pursue her art further and be open for God to show her where He wanted her. Kara made the tough choice to stay in the L.A. area, rather than move home to Beaverton, OR, after the program ended. Shortly after, Kara met Will for the first time at the small Calvary Chapel she had been attending with Shawna for a couple of months.
       Will grew up in the Los Angeles area, and was in the process of moving back to the Valley because of various circumstances, such as a job falling through. Will spent a good amount of time after high school studying film. God was working greatly in his life and Will was actively seeking the Lord. God is so merciful to bring us back to Him. Will had recently made the decision to start attending the English Calvary service rather than the Spanish. That March Will met Kara.
        Both of us knew that there was something special about the other person, and that we wanted to get to know the other better. Our friendship grew over the next several months with talking at church, hanging out with our friends from church, and E-mailing each other. God blessed us with a great friendship, which became the foundation for our relationship. In September of 2003, despite "just knowing the other didn't feel the same way", our friendship deepened as we expressed our feeling for each other for the first time.
        It has been an amazing 2 years learning more about each other, worshipping and serving the Lord together, deepening our love and friendship, and preparing for our journey through life together. We look forward to seeing where God will lead us as we become one in Him.
