Almost everybody has seen the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring movie!  And most of  us probably own it.  I know I do!!  (haha... haha... ha.. hahahaha!!!!  the special extended collector's edition too!!!!!!!)

The movies are directed by Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh.  Lord of the Rings is filmed in New Zealand.  Not on props, but on actual land they made into Hobbiton!  Check out the
cast page to learn about the actors and actresses!  The movie is pretty close to the book, with the exceptional few changes, but not every movie can be perfect...

Let's first cover the fellowship of the rings.  Note: there are differences.  One of these differences is Frodo's rescue.  In the movie, ringwraiths hunt Frodo... Frodo get stabbed, and who comes to save him and take him to Rivendell where he can be healed?  Arwen, the beautiful elf princess of Rivendell!  Not quite so in the book..... in actuality, Arwen's father, Elrond, and Gandalf the Grey saves him!
Yet another difference is Lothlorien.  If you have read the book, you know that elves hate dwarves and dwarves hate elves... the fellowship embarks on elvish land, Lothlorien.  The book says that the elves wanted Gimli, the dwarf of the fellowship, to be blind folded.  Naturally, to be fair, Frodo asked that everyone be blind folded if he were to be blind folded, thus, the elves lead them through Lothlorien while they are blind folded.  I see no blind folds when I watch the movie.
And where is Tom Bombadil!!!  Yes, those who do not know him have not read the book.  Tom Bombadil is the creator of the forrests.  He likes to sing jolly songs and sing about his girl, Goldberry.
