Carter is a 7 year old bay thoroughbred gelding. Before I bought Carter he only had three previous owners. His first owners had him originally for racing, like his sire, but soon found out that racing wasn't his thing. Carter had more of an easygoing nature. His second owners used him as a trail horse for their kids, but again found out that he wasn't the right horse for them. Carter's third owner, a professional trainer, bought him as a hunter prospect. She trained him for hunter and entered him in some shows, then put him up for sale. It was then that I found Carter and fell in love with him. After only riding Carter once I knew he was the right horse for me. I then bought Carter and moved him out to Shadyvale. Carter is very willing, determined, and a strong spirited horse. Carter and I worked really hard and we have improved tremendously. Carter is very loyal and is a quick learner. He is now being half leased by Deanna Hancock, who rides him in one jumping lesson and one dressage lesson per week. Carter is schooling up to 2'9 and 3'0 with potential to go higher. This summer I hope to compete in some hunter shows and hopefully start eventing as well.
