this is kind of misleading. i didn't have a full discography ready at any point so i will merely talk about the cds you can get online. go to the all music guide and search for dead kennedys, as it is a superior resource. but here's my 2 cents on some of the albums. at this point i would rather own any of the original pressings of any of these records, but if you're new you can't go wrong with checking these out by any means necessary..

Fresh Fruit has most of 'hits' on it. These are the songs nearly any novice to punk music should know. "Holiday in Cambodia" was probably the first punk song i ever heard, and this record is worth owning just for that. this is probably the most straight forward punk album they did

these were originally separate releases. Plastic Surgery Disasters is easily my favorite record of theirs, and getting the In God We Trust EP is a cool bonus. highlights are "riot", "moon over marin", "buzz bomb", "winnebago warrior", "well paid scientist", "terminal preppie".. it's all good.

frankenchrist is not as good as the first two albums but it has its distinct moments, like "mtv get off the air". you will have a very hard time finding the original release of this (with the geiger art) but it's still a worthwhile album to own.

i have listened to bedtime the least out of any of their records. i really like their version of "take this job and shove it" present on here though.

as the name implies, if you only want to buy one DK album, this would be a good pick. great from start to finish.
