Radio JU 90.8 Mhz
The community radio station of Jadavpur University ,Kolkata begins transmission on Bengali new year NABOBARSHA which is today.

Transmission started on FM at 1030 UTC with jingles and an opening welcome talk by the Vice Chancellor Dr Pradip Narayan Ghosh.

Signal strength was clearly weaker than the other Kolkata FMs.Initial modullation was a problem.

The Vice Chancellor in his opening address wanted the station to have a more Indian culture than the other contemporary Kolkata FM stations.
