LANGUAGES
I am passionate about languages, culture and travel, which has meant that I have encountered many very varied languages.
LANGUAGES WHICH I USE PROFESSIONALLY
SPANISH
My native language is Spanish from Spain. I was born in Madrid and studied there for many years.  When I went abroad I took an interest in the different varieties of Latin American Spanish.

ENGLISH
I have studied and used English since I was a little girl. I have lived in Great Britain for several short periods. I have several official qualifications in English, including a specialised qualification in translation.  A large part of my work is carried out in English.

DANISH
When I lived in Spain I was already studying Danish. Then I moved to Copenhagen where I went to countless courses and took all the official exams. I later studied at the University of Copenhagen. Today I live my life in Danish and I am completely bilingual.

PORTUGUESE
When I was a little girl I spent a year in Brazil, where I learnt Portuguese very quickly. Later I took classes at university to perfect my knowledge.

FRENCH
My passion for languages led to an interest in French at secondary school. Since then I have travelled countless times to French-speaking countries and I have taken French courses in the French Institute. I have also taken an official examination.

SWEDISH
Swedish was the first Scandinavian language I fell in love with. I started to learn it in Spain well before I travelled to Scandinavia for the first time. Then I lived in Sweden for a while, and since then I have been constantly visiting the country in order to keep up my knowledge.

NORWEGIAN
My enthusiasm for Scandinavia led to an interest in Norwegian while I was living in Spain and I studied it at university. I spent a short time living in Norway, and I visit the country often now.

CATALAN
Although I am not from Catalunya, the Catalan language has always caught my attention. I was finally able to study it at university through a specialised translation course.

OTHER LANGUAGES
JAPANESE
I have studied Japanese at university since 2002, concentrating on the language but also looking at the fascinating and distinctive Japanese culture.

GERMAN
Before I decided to concentrate on Scandinavian languages, my attraction to Germanic languages led me to studying German.

FINNISH
My interest in The Nordic Countries also helped me to get to know this wonderful country, as well as its culture and the basics of the language.

SWAHILI
After many years of learning European languages, and having started learning Japanese, my linguistic curiosity led me to look at this African language.

ARABIC
After years of travelling around Arab countries and studying their history and culture I have finally managed to find the time to start learning this language.

LATIN
I have studied Latin for 4 years, which has given me a sound base for learning other romance languages and to be able to understand the difference and similarities in grammar and vocabulary.

ANCIENT GREEK
My interest in history and philosophy pushed me towards this dead language which has had such a great influence upon European thought.
