...And Fred
                          the Cruising Kitty!
Rob Tryon is an experienced sailor whose life IS
the sea. He has taken his various boats (in addition
to captaining several others) up and down the coast,
with crew as well as solo. He is also a talented
musician and consummate storyteller!

LaDonna Bubak has been sailing since her parents built a boat when she was 16 and sailed down to Mexico for a year. She went boatless for many years till
Salacia came along, which she learned to solo with Rob's guidance. She's also a painter, writer, archer and budding harmonica player!

Fred sauntered into the picture a few years ago and has proven to be a bad-ass boat cat. He loves to supervise all happenings aboard, from anchoring to cooking, and will occasionally lend a helping hand (or tongue when he's in the galley). Fred has a penchant for all things fish so living on a boat is his dream come true!
UPDATE: Fred's back! He was missing for four days and we found him hunkered down in the parking lot of the marina (which we'd searched several times!). Thanks for all the good wishes and thoughtful emails!!

Rob & LaDonna met in 1997 at a used marine chandlery in Portland, Oregon. At the time, Rob owned a Catalina 30 (
Windbelle) & LaDonna owned her little sister, a Catalina 27 (Salacia). We cruised Windbelle in Puget Sound for a couple of summers while daysailing Salacia on the mighty Columbia River in between times. Then along came Silent Sun and the adventure of a lifetime began.
