Players to Avoid on your Fantasy Teams |
Grant Hill- Grant was an all star player who could do it all in Detroit. Since he has joined Orlando he has only played 18 games out of 164. With Grant the Magic are very good team but without him they are just average. He is still a good player but don't draft him until the later rounds because of his high chance of injury. |
Nick Van Exel- Since joining the Mavericks his numbers have decreased from playing behind Steve Nash. He is getting older and will not get as many shots or opportunities to rack up assists with Dallas. |
Ron Mercer- Ron has played on 5 teams now and doesn't seem to be getting any better. He will put up some points but he's a gunner. He can kill your field goal percent and he is not a complete ballplayer. He will not score as much in Indiana because his minutes will decrease with Reggie Miller ahead of him. |
Larry Hughes- The Warriors showed Larry that they do not like how he has been playing by benching at the end of the season. Larry takes some shots he shouldn't take and has trouble finding the open man. |
Lamar Odom- Last season was a disaster for Lamar. He missed many games due to injury and drug suspensions. Don't waste your time on a guy that does not want to work hard. The Clippers also have Darius Miles,Quentin Richardson and Corey Maggette and the 2 and 3 to take playing time away from Odom. Anthony Mason- He has had many off the court problems in his lifetime. This season he had on the court problems with his teamates that ended up announced off the courts. He believed he was not getting enough shots. Really though he was being lazy and when he did get a shot he didn't make it to often. Theo Ratliff- After only playing 3 three games this season due to injury his career may be over. If his career is not over I can assure you he will not be the old Theo Ratliff. By drafting you are taking a big risk. Terrell Brandon- Terrell has been plagued by injuries throughout his career. Now that his backup Chauncey Billups was ready to perform he played very well at the point. I don't know if there will be a starting spot just waiting for Terrell in Minnesota next season. Vin Baker- His numbers have been dropping every year since the mid 90's when he was with the Bucks. He is down to about 15 points per game and 6 rebounds per game. He has also had injury problems the past two seasons and has been known to eat a little to much bacon. Penny Hardaway- Penny finally made it through a whole season without injuries but got limited playing time late in the season. The Suns believe Joe Johnson is the future player at shooting guard for them. Penny may have to find a new team if he wants some playing time. Marcus Camby- Marcus has had his share of injury problems. He played pretty well before his injuries in New York but has struggled to get back since. He is a big man who can leap but may not have enough weight to keep himself from getting pushed around. Jason Williams- Everyone thought Jason was a great player early in his career. Now he is very erratic and turnover prone. He can still put on a show but is not the guy you want at point guard if you want to win it all. Keith Van Horn- He had a very disappointing playoffs and looked very reluctant to shoot. The Nets want a tougher player and you should too for your team. Elden Campbell- The Hornets have not been impressed with Campbell's effort. They started giving Jamaal Magloire more playing and he played well. Elden could lose his starting spot to Magloire. Derrick Coleman- Injuries have really slowed Coleman down. The 76ers want to get rid of him because he is way past his prime and can barely get up and down the floor now. |
