Campfire treats!

S'mores - Directions: There are many ways to cook this but basically you'll need two graham crackers, a large marshmellow and a piece of chocolate bar (like Hershey's or Jersey Milk... chocolate chips also work). You can either toast the marshmellow and then make the smore sandwich or wrap it in foil and heat over the fire (only a short time though).

Easy S'Mores - Ingredients: 2 digestive cookies with chocolate on one side, and marshmallows
Roast the marshmallows as usual. When they're ready, slip marshmallow off stick and in between two digestive cookies that have been turned chocolate side in.

Mini S'Mores - Ingredients: graham crackers, broken into small pieces, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows
Directions: Lay a piece of foil on the table. This is your cleared campfire area. Take 1 paperclip and straighten. This is your marshmallow stick. Take one tea light, or other candle that can't be tipped over for every or everyother girl. This is your campfire. Break graham crackers into 4 pieces. Place mini marshmallow on stick and roast over candle. Place on piece of cracker with a chocolate chip or two and top with other piece of cracker. Ta da! The only problem, besides having to eat a lot of them, is that because you are using flame instead of coals, the marshmallow can catch on fire more easily. Adult supervision is a must!

Damper Dogs  - Directions: Take some biscuit mix and mix it with flour to make a stiff workable dough. Pinch off about a plum sized bit for every girl. They will need to roll it into a little snake, which they then coil around the end of a stick (about 1/2 inch diameter) covered in foil). This should form a spiral shape (ie no dough overlaps except at one end to hold it on. Then you cook this slowly over glowing coals or the embers of a fire. When golden brown (this requires patience) let it cool a little, slide it off the stick, fill with jam and eat with joy!
