2/10/01 - The story on Angelina's upcoming movie, "Life, or Something Like It"....which she starts filming in early April..another one to look forward too! AJ and Billy Bob were spotted holding hands while picking up papayas and vegetarian cheese at Erewhon, a natural food store in LA. That's in the issue of Us Weekly with Tom and Nicole on the cover. February 15, 2001 - Eonline's Ted Casablanca says.. Speaking of those who blot themselves (permanently) with inky-slinky to-do's, let's catch up on things Angelina Jolie--whaddya say? Ever hear that chaotic people spread madness wherever they go? I'd say the same goes for those who radiate rapid-fire whimsy--such as the kind possessed by Mrs. Billy Bob Big. How many other people get tattoos--oh yeah, and married--to battle boredom? These days, something's swirling around A.J. that definitely stinks of suddenness. Take the moving of Original Sin, her steamy-scene-filled flick with the delish Antonio Banderas. First, the movie was scheduled to open any minute ago. Then--at practically the last possible moment--studio pooh-bahs decided to postpone the premiere to avoid that cinematic beast Hannibal. And when I say avoid, I mean O.S. is now looking at a summer debut (or whenever). Good thing, too. Cuz Billy and babe have vanished off the continent to an extended vacay to Africa, I hear, although her rep denies it.
Your guess is as good as mine as to what she could be up to in such an exotic locale (and for so lengthy a stay). If it has anything remotely to do with her hubby's largesse, I'm sure we'll hear about it sooner or later. I choose sooner. It's been far too long since these two have done anything remotely interesting--or at least gabbed about it.
February 8, 2001 - Well I know we are all disappointed that Angelina has cancelled all her talk show appearances! On clicktv.com, all her appearances are gone except for the Thurs. Feb 15th Today Show appearance, but that'll probably get cancelled too..hopefully not! The rumors are true...Original Sin has been bumped to an August 2001 premiere. AJ herself commented on the cancellations, "There's no point in promoting a movie that isn't coming out until August." Hey well OS may not be coming out but you can go the the MGM site for trailers and all kinds of goodies...here...So we'll have to wait another half a year for that...but hey Tomb Raider comes out in 4 months! Angelina will be at the Century Plaza in Los Angeles on March 17th for Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Awards to honor makeup artists such as Janine Schreyer who does her makeup often.
February 3,2001 - On Thurs. Feb. 15th, AJ will be stopping by the Today Show....so all you lucky New Yorkers will be able to see her! Although we have all the way until August, Original Sin will be an absolutely kick ass movie especially when the two lead actors have such chemistry..(no no not that kind of chemistry..stop thinking with your dirty minds haha)..A source says, "They were comfortable with each other at all times - especially when they had no clothes on." 1/24/01 - Can I just say that Angelina was absolutely beautiful at the Golden Globes...you can visit the special section in the galleries for some pics and a write up. EW reported that Billy is planning a script for Angelina, Matt Damon, Penelope Cruz, and himself saying "we're doing a hitchhiking movie." Debates upon whether or not Tomb Raider has been bumped from a June release to a May release are still unresolved but as far as I know...it's set for June 15th. Filming hasn't started because of disputes over a budget deal and the SAG actors strike starts June 30th. Angie did win against Sandra on Celebrity Deathmatch...way to go AJ!!! She was named 2nd best dressed on ET's Best Dressed at the GG's...whether 2nd best on ET or 2nd worst on Blackwell's..why is she always 2nd?? Last night on Access Hollywood, Billy Bob talked about him and Angie wearing lockets filled with each other's blood...old news...but why is everyone so freaked out about it...I think that is so sweet, it's what you call real love.
january 31, 2001 - Original sin's premiere is just around the corner so you know what that means....press! Angelina will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, Feb. 12th......and all the way on the other coast..she'll be on Late Night with Conan on Thurs. Feb. 15th! So set those VCRs! Thanks to all of you that sent in the info about AJ on talk shows! Since Beyond Borders has been shelved...AJ has some time on her hands for another project. There was talk of her taking over Nicole Kidman's role in thriller 'Panic Room' but it seems Jodie Foster and Robin Wright Penn are ahead in the talks....but another movie has popped up called 'Sweet Home Alabama'....click here for the details. December 18, 2000 - Angelina Jolie was named the #12 Entertainer of the Year by Entertainment Weekly, with top honors going to Russell Crowe. They say of Jolie, "there's little doubt that Jolie has become Hollywood's go-to girl for parts where hard-bitten ways disguise a fragile heart." Also in that issue, her black dress and 'goth look' displayed at the Oscars was pointed out as a "Dress to Distress" item.
December 13, 2000 - Access Hollywood is awesome! they've had stuff on Angelina and Billy Bob for three days..thursday, monday and friday! On Monday, they had Billy Bob...clearing up all the rumors...transcript will be posted soon! Angelina sent Billy a message through Access Hollywood, "Stop doing interviews...go back to the hotel room..take off all your clothes and find your wife!" November 20, 2000 - Angelina has changed her diet and is feeling the benefits during the shooting of TR. Jolie says, "I can only eat a few things. I have steamed sea bass or steamed beef at night and vegetables. I have no sugar now, and I switched to soy milk. All the stuff that they're making me do is an interesting test because I used to smoke and drink and eat lots of sugar and anything else I wanted. And I used to not eat breakfast -- I used to have a cigarette and coffee. But now I have less coffee and more tea in the morning. And I have lots of eggs and meat. I eat lots of meat."
November 20,2000 - Angelina hated being touched before she met Billy Bob, admitting "I never liked being touched, ever. People used to say I held my breath when they were hugging me." October 21, 2000 - Tomb Raider has been given permission to shoot in Cambodia's famous Angkor Wat temples, which will begin in the last week of November, though gunfire won't be allowed, as Som Sokumdirector of cinema for the ministry of culture and fine arts, tells Reuters, "The ministry will not let them shoot guns in the Angkor complex because it is an ancient temple and could get damaged."

September 28, 2000 - The NY Post is speculating that Billy Bob's strange diet of eating only orange foods may be what has weakened his immune system. Dr. Ira Sacker called the habit, "very much anorexic behavior" adding "That kind of diet can put you in the hospital. It makes you protein- and carbohydrate-malnourished and it decreases your immune system." Thornton admitted in 1998, "I think I had a little mental problem. I got anorexic. September 26, 2000 - The publicist for Billy Bob Thornton is denying rumors that the real reason he was hospitalized over the weekend was for a heart attack.
