Day 11   Painting Door Jambs, Engine Compartment, Hatchback Jambs, edges of fenders, Underside of hood, hood latching mechanism, radiator support, hatchback, dash, and steering column  (continued)

These photos show some of the jamb painting done so far (2/1/2001). The color is 2001 Dodge Viper Bright Silver Metallic.  I used PPG's Basecoat/Clearcoat system with a gravity feed HVLP

Day 20 Reinstalling the body panels and fitting the fiberglass nose and rear bumper.

Marc "I've been holding the hood for an hour" was a big help!

Most body parts after reinstalling them and aligning all the panels.  I managed to find a Chevrolet dealer with NEW door bushings, so the doors fit perfect now and don't sag anymore. Friends Marc, Sandy, and my dad helped install the doors, hood and hatch.

Day 21-23  More Prepping/Fitting the Fiberglass rear bumper and front nose, installing the hatchback lock mechanism, installing door strikers and doubling checking final door alignment.
-----ALSO HERE IS THE ENGINE....
The 454 with Fuel Injection and Hooker Headers
will soon get rebuilt!! This baby is gonna fly!!

Check back soon... Working on the new (used) spoiler I got on E-Bay. After that priming/block sanding and final body work to fix small blemishes.
