Born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut, Mascolo was endowed with a musical ability that seemed to guarantee a brilliant career as a classical musician. He never considered an acting career until a music scholarship took him to the University of Miami where a drama coach heard in Mascolo's hearty basso a voice that was destined for the stage.
When he became a candidate for a Fulbright Scholarship to study orchestral conducting, there was a snag; Mascolo was determined to submerge himself in the study of opera in Italy and the available position was in Germany. That being the case, he passed up on the Fulbright and, instead, took advantage of an offer in New York City. Of all the ways an actor supports himself while studying theater and auditioning in New York, the coveted seat in the clarinet section of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra which Mascolo accepted, has to be among the most unique. It was in New York that the seed to act which had been planted back in Miami began to blossom.
Mascolo was first seen off-Broadway in a production of The Threepenny Opera, soon followed by an appearance in the landmark off-Broadway production of a View From the Bridge with director Ulu Grosbard, where he succeeded Robert Duvall as Eddie Carbone and joined an ensemble that included Jon Voight as co-star and Dustin Hoffman as assistant director. His Broadway debut came in Dinner at Eight, mounted by theatre legend Tyrone Guthrie.
Film roles include Sharkey's Machine, Heat, Jaws II, and Shaft's Big Score. His appearance in the film Yes, Giorgio! Gave him the opportunity to sing a duet with his friend, international super-tenor, Luciano Pavarotti.
The role of Stefano DiMera, which Mascolo portrayed on an off for almost two decades, garnered Mascolo with three Soap Opera Awards in the "Outstanding Villain" category.
An avid tennis player and patron of the arts, Mascolo celebrates his birthday on March 13th.

Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Thaao Penghlis is one of four children whose parents immigrated to Sydney from Greece. He speaks both English and Greek.
While studying art history and fashion in New York City he was encouraged to pursue a career in drama by acting coach and theatre director, Milton Katselas. His New York stage debut was in the Off-Broadway production of "Jockeys".
Penghlis first appeared to daytime audiences in 1981 when he appeared on General Hospital, followed by a stint on Santa Barbara from 1992-1993. He may be best know to fans, however, as Days of our Lives' Count Antony DiMera. He portrayed Anthony -- and his twin, Andre - from 1981 to 1995. In 2002, Tony was "brought back from the dead," offering Penghlis the opportunity to replay the role of one of Salem's great villains.
In addition to his return to Days, Penghlis also planned to star in one-man show about the life of Greek Revolutionary, Alexander Panagoulis.
Penghlis' diverse world travels have not only taken him across the Sinai Desert and up Mt. Sinai, but aided in pursuing his interest in archaeology as well as providing info for a recent screenplay.

MADLYN RHUE - Daphne Dimera

American character actress Madlyn Rhue is one of television's most prolific actresses and she has starred in everything from sitcoms, soaps and drama shows and films for nearly forty years. Her beautiful good looks, black/dark brown hair and hazel eyes got her the attention of television producers and found herself guest starring on series including "Rawhide" (1959), "Cheyenne" (1955), "Star Trek" (1966), "Hawaii Five-O" (1968), "Charlie's Angels" (1976) and "Fantasy Island" (1978). She did a few theatrical motion pictures, most notably Operation Petticoat (1959), He Rides Tall (1964), Kenner (1969) and _It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1966)_ . In 1977, Rhue discovered that she was diagnoised with multiple sclerosis, a nerve disease, which she battled for nearly twenty five years. However, her disease never let her down, she continued to work in numerous television films and was co-starring on such series and soap operas including "Executive Suite", "Fame" and "Days of Our Lives" and had a recurring role on "Murder, She Wrote" (1984). By 1993, Rhue was unable to work, and spent her last years at a retirement center in Woodland Hills. She passed away from complications from her multiple sclerosis at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital at the age of 69.

Eileen Davidson returned to the role of Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless in March of 1999. She previously portrayed Ashley Abbott from 1982 – 1989. Eileen was born and raised in Southern California. Davidson most recently portrayed Kirsten Blake on the daytime drama Days of our Lives. She previously portrayed Kelly Capwell on the daytime drama Santa Barbara. Davidson starred in the primetime television series credits Broken Badges. She also starred in the CBS telefilm Sharing Richard with Ed Marinaro. Davidson's feature film credits include starring in Eternity with Jon Voight and Armande Assante and Easy Wheels with Paul LeMat. She also starred in The House on Sorority Row. When Eileen is not working she surfs, snow skis and scuba dives. She also plays piano, paints and enjoys writing. Her birthday is June 15. She stands 5'7" and has blonde hair and green eyes. After broken marriages to Christopher Mayer and Jon Lindstrom, Eileen wed Vincent Van Patten on April 15. At the time, Eileen was expecting the couple's first child. This will be the first child for Davidson, but Vince has two from a former marriage (Richard and Vince, Jr.).

JASON BROOKS - Peter Blake

Jason Brooks is a highly versatile actor whose extensive credits extend to film, television, live theatre and stand-up comedy. He joins "Baywatch Hawaii" this season as the pivotal character, "Sean Monroe, " who is responsible for running the new international lifeguard training center. The youngest of three children, Brooks spent the majority of his childhood in Los Angeles. While in college, he pursued a variety of entrepreneurial endeavors, one of which resulted in a thriving business. Nonetheless, he found sales uninspiring, so he put some of his profits toward acting classes where he discovered his true calling. He soon found an agent and his acting career began. "Baywatch" casting directors were first impressed with Brooks when he auditioned for a guest star role in 1993. Much to their dismay, shortly before filming began Brooks won the role of `Peter Blake' on "Days of Our Lives." Hailed as "one of the sexiest men on television" by Soap Opera Digest, Brooks is recognized for his three-year stint on "Days of Our Lives, " but is also a familiar face in primetime with recurring and guest star roles on "Friends, " "The Pretender, " "Early Edition" and "The New Love Boat." In addition, Brooks recently starred in CBS' MOW "Three Secrets" with Jacqueline Smith and Tyne Daly. Other MOW credits include a starring role opposite Tori Spelling in the ABC MOW "Alibi" and a lead role in the UPN MOW "The Darwin Conspiracy." Stefano came to Salem in 1982 and bought the mansion Stuart Whyland had recently vacated.. When his son Tony kidnapped his estranged wife Liz Chandler Stefano forced Liz to spy on Doug Williams. Stefano and Tony had learned that there were titanium deposits underneath Doug's Place, and they intended on finding them. They found a passage from a secret room in the DiMera mansion (which Stuart had built to spy on Doug) to the basement of Doug's Place, but in the end the entire thing ended up to be a big hoax.
Later that year Lee and Stefano became reacquainted and renewed a past relationship. She told Stefano to keep Tony away from Renee, but when Tony refused to give up Renee Lee told Stefano that Renee was his daughter.
Stefano met and developed feelings for Julie Williams, and when a hit was put out on Julie's son David Banning, Stefano arranged for him to be spared.
The secret about Renee's parents would eventually come out in 1982. After Renee learned Tony was her brother and Stefano was her father Tony became furious and blamed his father for trying to help Lee keep him away from Renee. When Tony tried to leave town Stefano faked a heart attack to keep him from leaving.
When Liz tried to leave Tony for Neil Curtis in 1982 Stefano tried to have Neil killed by planting a bomb in his room. Later Stefano was blackmailed by Evan Whyland, who had evidence of the Dimera's money laundering operation, and Stefano's involvement in Stuart Whylands mysterious demise. Stefano ordered Alex Marshall to take care of Evan, and because he suspected Maggie knew about Evan's plans he had the brakes on her car tampered with.
When Roman managed to infiltrate a drug ring Stefano and Alex were running Stefano ordered Alex to kill Roman, but the attempt failed. Roman eventually got the evidence he needed and Stefano kidnapped Liz and Marlena in an attempt to make a getaway from Salem. Stefano's plan was foiled when Roman and Abe showed up and caught him. Stefano was sent to prison, and there he died of a stroke in 1983.
In his will Stefano said in order to earn their inheritance Tony and Renee had to live under the same roof for one year, and Renee had to stay married to David Banning. Also, the will stated the first couple to have a child would receive an extra five million dollars.
Stefano returned to Salem in 1984. His stroke in prison was faked, he payed off nurse Kelly Chase to put his name on the toe tag of a dead prisoner. Stefano then found his nephew Andre DiMera, gave him plastic surgery to look like his cousin Tony, and the two planned to frame Roman for a rash of murders committed by Andre, who became known as the Salem Slasher.
Stefano learned that Roman hadn't died in the explosion, and planned to have Andre kill Marlena on a TV benefit for the hospital disguised as Roman. However his plan faced failure when Roman planned to send Marlena out of town because she became pregnant. Stefano tricked Marlena into staying and captured Roman. He showed Roman a TV monitor showing Marlena with Tony (Andre), and then another TV with Tony and Anna in chains. He let Roman escape because he knew he'd go to the theater to rescue Marlena, and he could kill them both. Roman rescued Anna and Tony from the penthouse, and then went to the theater. Stefano's bomb was located and disarmed by Eugene's talisman. Stefano tried to flee Salem, but his car plunged into the Salem River, and his body wasn't found. Tony and Andre fought, but Andre managed to escape.
Andre returned to Stefano's island compound were the two planned on acquiring three prisms designed by Larry Welches father. Stefano wanted these prisms to heal an inoperable brain tumor he had. One prism was in the belly of an alligator, another in a necklace owned by Daphne Dimera which fell into Calliope Jones' hands ,and the third in Russia.
Andre and Stefano planned to get everyone to Stefano's secret compound for revenge. In 1984 Anna and Alex Marshall opened up a fashion company. Alex, Anna, and Tony picked Haiti for a photo shot. On board the plane flying to Haiti was Eugene Bradford, Calliope Jones, Bo Brady, Hope Williams, Anna DiMera, Liz Chandler, Carlo, Daphne DiMera, Andre DiMera, and Tony DiMera. On the way to Haiti Andre DiMera surprisingly popped up, and when he threatened the pilot to change his course the pilot died of a heart attack, and the plane crashed on a remote island. As a result of the plane crash Daphne DiMera died in Andre's arms. When Tony learned about this the to fought, and Andre met his demise in a patch of quicksand. Tony gave the necklace with the prism to and island girl, but Stefano managed to get the prism back. Roman Brady showed up, and fought with Stefano atop of a nearby cliff as Bo watched from below. Roman eventually fell, and died on the beach in Bo's arms. When Bo left Roman to get help, Roman's body was gone when he returned. Eventually the Coast Guard arrived, and everyone was rescued.
Stefano soon gained the second prism from a contact in Louisiana, and then flew to Russia for the third prism.
In 1985 Stefano's daughter Megan was murdered by Larry Welch, but Hope was the suspect. Stefano threatened Bo Brady to find hid daughter's killer or Hope would die.
Stefano's henchman Bronsky managed to smuggle the 3rd prism into the US through a Russian ice skating troop, but during a chase with Bo and Hope it was lost in the ice.
Later Stefano blamed the Brady's for his daughter Megan's death, and attempted to kidnap Marlena, Sami, and Eric. Marlena was to be his wife, and Eric and Sami would replace his dead daughter Megan. Bo managed to rescue the twins, and in a struggle Marlena shot and killed Stefano.
In 1988 Stefano returned to claim his son, and to settle an old score. In his past Stefano became involved with a woman named Ellen, and her father Orion. Orion was a martial arts master, who trained Roman II/John Black to be an assassin. Ellen became Stefano's lover, and bore him a son, Benji DiMera. Stefano had ordered Roman II/John to bomb someone's house, and before the bomb went off Stefano's son Benji ran into the house, and went deaf as a result. Ellen and Orion, took Benji and fled from Stefano. Years later Stefano found, and kidnapped his son, and sought revenge on Roman II/John. Stefano had set a trap, he had not only kidnapped Carrie Brady, but put ideas in Roman II/John's head that Marlena could possibly be alive. Roman II/John, Diana, and the Bradys were all lured to Stefano's island. There Roman II/John learned Marlena was not alive, and Stefano put him in a trance to kill the entire Brady family. Diana Coleville coaxed Roman II/John out of the trance, and everyone escaped unharmed, including Stefano. Benji's grandfather Orion took his grandson away to live in safety.
Stefano made a brief comeback in 1992. Stefano had kept Marlena and the real Roman locked up on an island in the Caribbean. Roman had been working on a case called the Landen Case, which involved recovering a set of Mayan codicies. These codicies were the key to a great power, which Stefano wanted to posses. Stefano kidnapped Roman and sent John Black to Salem to pose as Roman. John was to bring the codicies to Stefano, but the plan failed. Stefano was confronted by John, Roman, and Bo in Mexico. John and Roman recovered the codicies from a pyramid and the pyramid collapsed, killing Stefano. Or so everyone believed.
Stefano returned to Salem in 1993 and was dying from another brain tumor. Stefano was kidnapped and held for ransom by the man who was bringing him to Salem, Curtis Reed. Stefano was paralyzed at the time and could not fight back. Later, Stefano struggled with Curtis Reed and shot him. Stefano planted the gun on Billie Reed and let her take the wrap.
Tony DiMera returned to Salem to marry his fiancee, Kristen Blake. Stefano told Kristen that before he died, he wanted to see them marry. Kristen agreed to marry Tony, even though she loved John Black. However, Kristen left Tony at the altar to help John Black find Marlena and Roman's daughter, Belle.
Stefano realized that in order for Kristen to marry Tony, he would have to discredit John in her eyes. Stefano did some investigating and thanks to a stolen diary of Sami Brady's, Stefano learned that John was really Belle's father. Stefano took this information to Roman. Sami eventually admitted that she had switched the paternity test results. Stefano's plan worked and Kristen despised John.
Tony and Kristen were about to marry when John showed up at the wedding, claiming that he had evidence linking Stefano to Curtis Reed's murder. When Stefano hopped in a car and drive off, John shot at the tires. Stefano had planned it so his car would go off the road and he would be "killed" in the crash. Kristen, blaming John for her father's death, married Tony on February 18, 1994. Tony learned later that Stefano was alive, but he kept it a secret because he feared Kristen would leave him.
In late 1994, John received a mysterious puzzle from Stefano. When he assembled the puzzle it showed a picture of an old plantation which he somehow recognized. After learning that the place was Maison Blanche, John went to New Orleans to visit it. When he arrived he was taken prisoner by Stefano and his henchwoman Celeste. Stefano chained John up in the basement and planned to re-brainwash him. Celeste, who liked John, told him that everything he needed to save himself was in his cell. After searching the cell, John found a block that had Johnny Black, 1984 inscribed on it. Behind the block John found a necklace with a crucifix and a prayer on a piece of paper. Using a recording of John's voice, Stefano lured Marlena to New Orleans as well. When she arrived, Celeste knocked her out with either and locked her up with John. Stefano was planning on erasing John's memory, so Marlena tried to prevent him from doing it with a strip show. Stefano also forced Marlena to call Roman and tell him that she was on vacation with John Black. Meanwhile, Celeste became jealous of Marlena because she knew that Stefano was in love with her. Later that year, Kristen, Tony, Peter, Jen, Bo, and Billie all came to Maison Blanche for a charity event Kristen held. While there, Jen and Peter made love. Also, Billie saw a woman who looked like Bo's dead wife Hope, but nobody would believe her. Hope was at Maison Blanche, but she was called Gina by Stefano and Celeste. Roman also showed up, but to arrest Peter Blake for trafficking drugs in one of his clubs. A jealous Celeste leaked gas into the cell where John and Marlena were being held and started a fire. Roman managed to rescue them. John came out and shocked both Kristen and Tony, who were horrified to see John in shackles. Kristen looked up and screamed when she spotted her dead father, Stefano. Tony ran back into the house to try and retrieve his father's computer, which contained a file on John's past. Maison Blanche burst into flames. Tony got the computer, but went blind in the process. Stefano slipped away with Hope, but John managed to catch up with Stefano and rescued Hope. Bo and Billie were shocked when they saw Hope, but Hope claimed to be a woman named Gina.
Stefano returned to Salem in late 1994. Stefano knew of Mike Horton's involvement with a woman in the mid-east who tricked him into transporting arms. He blackmailed Mike into providing him with the key-code to Marlena's apartment. Stefano rented the apartment next to her and built a secret passage between the two through Marlena's armoir. Stefano began visiting Marlena in the nights, but he wore a mask to hide his identity. Stefano's nightly visits opened up Marlena's soul for the taking, and Satan took it.
In 1995, John, Father Francis, Kristen DiMera, and Caroline Brady all worked to help exorcise Marlena. Marlena tricked Stefano into untieing her from her bed, where John had bound her, and she promptly threw him off her penthouse terrace. Stefano lived, but he was paralyzed and suffered from amnesia. Abe Carver and Pat Hamilton wanted to arrest Marlena for her attempted murder, but when they came face to face with her supernatural powers they realized that Marlena was not responsible for her actions.
After being exorcised, Marlena felt extremely guilty about what she had done under the demon's possession. Marlena felt especially bad for Stefano, who was paralyzed and amnesiac. Marlena took it upon herself to help Stefano regain the use of his legs and she invited him to live with her. As Marlena worked with Stefano, Stefano began to fall in love with Marlena.
In December of 1995, Tony DiMera was shot and killed and John Black was arrested for his murder, a murder that Tony himself framed John for. Stefano and Marlena went to Aremid. Marlena went to be with John and Stefano went to say goodbye to Tony.
Marlena continued to council Stefano in Aremid as 1996 began. Stefano began having faint memories from his past. Stefano recalled giving gifts to a beautiful woman, who continued to reject him. Stefano also found himself attracted to Marlena. One night while out in a rain storm, Stefano was struck by lightening. Celeste found him and took him back to the Blake House. Mike feared that Stefano could have regained his memory after being hit by lightening, but Stefano claimed he remembers nothing. However, Stefano remembered everything. Unfortunately, the Woman in White left Tony's diary behind in the Blake House when she was forced to hide as Celeste was bringing Stefano in out of the storm. Stefano tries to persuade Marlena to go away with him, but when she declines his offer he realized it was because of John. Stefano decided that he must rid himself of John somehow, and he realized his trial is the perfect way to do it. Later, Stefano uncovered Tony's Diary from the Woman in White's secret room and he vowed to never let anyone know the truth.
John Black's Trial resumed in 1996 and Peter Blake put Kristen DiMera on the stand. Kristen admitted to the court that she believed that John killed her husband, Tony DiMera. John was sentenced to death because Stefano blackmailed the judge. The death sentence was to be carried out immediately. On the night of John's execution, Stefano dined with Marlena Brady at the Blake House. Marlena managed to get Tony's diary and give it to the Woman in White. The Woman in White dropped it on the way to the courthouse, but Jack Devereaux found it and got it there in time to save John from the gas chamber. Meanwhile, Marlena told Stefano that she knows he ordered John's death sentence and she hates him. Stefano abducted Marlena and tried to make his getaway, but Celeste followed him and demands he take her too. Stefano refused, so Celeste tells him that Lexie is his daughter, in hopes of staying with him. Stefano escaped with Marlena into some underground tunnels below Aremid. Lexie tried to reason with her father, but he and Marlena are lost in a cave in. Stefano managed to escape to the ocean, but John rescued Marlena. Stefano escapes via helicopter and vowed to return for Marlena.
Stefano returned to Salem like he vowed. He arranged for Jonah Carver to return to Medical School to please his daughter, Lexie. Stefano contacted Kristen and asked her to help him kidnap Marlena. Kristen refused to at first, but after learning that John loved Marlena more she agreed to help. Kristen gave Stefano the plane number that Rachel and Marlena would be flying to San Fransico on. Stefano told Kristen that he would return her mother to her later. Unfortunately, the police got tipped off that Stefano was back in town and his plan to kidnap Marlena was foiled. Stefano forced Vivian and Ivan to help him flee Salem.
Marlena and Rachel made plans for another trip and Marlena gave Kristen a list she was to obey. Kristen was not to sleep with John and she was not to wear his engagement ring. Stefano arranged for himself to be captured, so it appeared that Marlena and Rachel were safe to fly to San Fransico. After their plane took off, John learned that the man they captured was wearing a latex mask. Upon searching the DiMera Mansion they found Rachel Blake bound and gagged. Stefano, disguised as Rachel, had snuck onboard the plane with Marlena. Stefano faked a plane crash which convinced Salem that Marlena and Stefano had both died.
Stefano took Marlena to some caverns below Paris which he ruled ask King and he intended to make her his queen. Marlena became deeply depressed and a doctor told Stefano that if she wasn't cheered up soon she could die. Stefano produced a set of goggles that allowed the person wearing them to view people who were dear to them. Marlena was able to see John and her children though these goggles. However, Stefano learned that the other set of goggles he had left in Salem were being used and realized John was the one using them. In the Paris underground, Marlena began to write things in a daily journal. Stefano planted a bomb in the warehouse where the second set of goggles were in order to kill John. The plan failed, but Stefano convinced Marlena that John died in the explosion. Stefano agrees to let Marlena out of the cage and takes her to a street carnival where they are spotted by Vivian and Ivan. Upon learning John was in Paris, Stefano sent a forged fax from John to Kristen and Rachel asking them to come to Paris.
John realized that Stefano is holding Marlena prisoner in the Paris underground. To lure him out, John set up a huge ball, where Marie Antoinette's crown would be displayed. John knew that Stefano would try to steal it for his "Queen" Marlena. John also knew that if Stefano follows the game, Marlena would show up wearing a gold gown. Unfortunately, Stefano anticipated this. Stefano took Marlena to the ball, but he arranged for many many women to be dressed exactly like Marlena. John, Kristen, Abe, Lexie, and John's french cop friend Renee combed the ball looking for Marlena and each had a mini TV set that was hooked up to many cameras at the ball. Marlena and Kristen came face to face and they argued. Marlena ran off and eventually found John. Unfortunately, Stefano stabbed John with a needle and drug him off while Kristen watched. Stefano also managed to steal the crown by having someone impersonate Renee.
In the Paris Underground, Stefano put John on trial for his crimes against him. John was found guilty and was sentenced to be executed by beheading. Marlena attempted to stop the execution, but failed. Luckily, Vivian and Ivan were searching for Stefano and managed to free John from the guillotine he was in. John and Marlena ran for the tunnels and Stefano pursued them. Kristen decided to find the Paris Underground to try and save John and her mother, Rachel, insisted on going. An explosion in the underground buried Kristen and Rachel, but Abe and Lexie managed to save them. They all searched for John and Lexie. When the found him, John had a gun and was holding it on Stefano. Marlena was hurt during the explosion and John gave his gun to Rachel to hold on Stefano so he could carry Marlena. Stefano managed to escape and Rachel followed him. Rachel and Stefano ended up near a gas tank. Rachel, knowing the consequences, shot at Stefano. The tank exploded and Stefano and Rachel were presumed dead.
Stefano, who was very alive, returned to Salem and learned about Peter and Jennifer's troubles. Stefano revealed himself to Peter and promised to help him get Jennifer. He also learned about Kristen and John and promised to help Kristen keep John. from Peter. Peter, following Stefano's advice, was planning on kidnapping Jen. Stefano also told Kristen that she should try and marry John as soon as she can. He also blackmailed Kristen's doctor into keeping quiet about the fact that she isn't pregnant.
Stefano brought Susan Banks, a pregnant woman, to Salem. With a blond wig and false teeth, Susan looks exactly like Kristen. Susan agreed to impersonate Kristen when needed and to give her baby to Kristen, in exchange for a large sum of money. Meanwhile, Marlena began to become more and more suspicious of Kristen and even told Laura Horton that if she didn't know any better, she'd say Kristen wasn't pregnant.
Daniel Scott showed up at the Blake house to find Peter and extort more money out of him. Unfortunately, Daniel ran into Stefano. The two argued and Daniel backed into a large window and fell to his death from the 2nd story. Salem gathered for Peter's funeral. After the funeral, Laura saw Kristen adjusting her pregnancy pad when she thought nobody was looking. Laura ran back into the church to tell Marlena, but she ended up coming face to face with Stefano and Peter. Stefano revealed that the body in the casket was Daniel Scott, with a latex mask of Peter on. Stefano kidnapped Laura and took both her and Peter to the Blake house. Peter was very ill still and he forced Laura to care for him. Kristen eventually stumbled upon both Laura and Peter. Stefano wanted to take Laura with her when he and Peter left the country, but Kristen and Peter asked if there was another way to solve the problem. Stefano eventually had one of his scientists zap Laura's mind with a laser that would remove her memory for the last few days. Stefano placed Laura out in Salem park on a bench and he and Peter skipped town.
Outside of Salem, Stefano continued to plot. He hired Nurse Lynn Burke to be Laura Horton's caretaker and to feed her pills which would keep Laura from remembering the truth about Peter and Kristen. He also helped Kristen to try and control Susan Banks, who had become obscessed with John Black and her own child she was to give up. Stefano had a secret room built in the DiMera Mansion where Kristen was to hide Susan. However, things went wrong and Marlena Evans was put into the secret room after she learned the truth about Kristen. Kristen called Stefano and told her that Marlena was locked in the room and awaiting him. Stefano returned to Salem and forced Vivian and Ivan to help him kidnap Marlena. Meanwhile, Susan planned an Elvis themed wedding for herself and John, which Kristen and Marlena were forced to watch from the secret room. Desperate to stop the wedding, Kristen tried to dig through the wall and ended up hitting a gas line, which knocked Kristen and Marlena unconscious. Stefano showed up dressed as a waiter and was planning to escape with Marlena. Unfortunately, Laura showed up, still wearing her pajamas from the hospital, and accused Kristen, who was really Susan, of kidnapping Marlena. Laura slapped Susan and her fake teeth landed in Vivian's glass of champagne. Susan confessed everything and John managed to save Kristen and Marlena from the secret room, both had passed out. Stefano fled the party.
Soon after Susan and John's wedding came to a halt, John arranged for Marlena, Lexie, and Laura Horton to all have a relaxing day at the Salem Spa. Stefano snuck in and almost kidnapped Marlena, but Lexie saw him and ratted him out. Stefano escaped, but Marlena was saved.
John planned an engagement party for Marlena at the Penthouse Grill. Kristen, Vivian, and Ivan crashed the party and when Kristen heard John propose to Marlena, she lost it. Kristen went out to the ledge and threatened to jump, but John talked her down. Stefano was also at the party and planned to kidnap Marlena, but Kristen ruined his chance and he was furious with her.
John and Marlena planned to marry in July of 97, but Kristen and Stefano brought the wedding to a halt when Kristen showed up at the wedding with Marlena's dead ex-husband, Roman. Later, John and Marlena learned from Shane that Roman claimed to be dead because he really was dying of a deadly virus and didn't want his family to watch him suffer. Kristen convinced John and Marlena that Roman would be the most comfortable living in the DiMera mansion. Roman refused to stay in the hospital and accepted Kristen's offer. Kristen further caused problems by telling Roman that she and John were married and Marlena never became involved with anyone else after he left Salem.
Stefano allowed himself to be captured and then told John that only he had the cure for Roman. John didn't want to believe him, but it seemed there was no other way to save Roman. John, with Lexie and eventually Abe's help, broke Stefano out of jail. John and Stefano speed to the airfield where John's plane awaited them. Kristen managed to convince John and Stefano to let her come along. Marlena also wanted to go, but John said she should remain behind because this could be a trap. However, Hope decided to tag along to keep an eye on Kristen. Stefano was furious when John found Hope stowed away and wanted to return to Salem and leave her behind, but they couldn't because they would be captured for sure. John, Hope, Stefano, and Kristen all traveled to a jungle compound where they were introduced to Dr. Rolfe, the man working on the cure for Roman. Dr. Rolfe recognized Hope, but Stefano managed to warn him not to say anything to Hope. Hope ended up breaking into a storage room, which infuriated him because there were things, including a table, in that room that could jog her memory from the missing four years of her life. Stefano promptly locked the room up with a high tech lock. When Dr. Rolfe finally finished the cure, the vial containing the cure was dropped and it was lost. Dr. Rolfe and Stefano tell John and Hope that the only way to make another cure is for someone to brave the jungle and the natives and retrieve a special orchid. John and Hope volunteer to find the orchid. Hope and John found the orchid and John put it in his backpack, but a native knocked John off a cliff and Hope, Kristen, and Stefano thought he was killed. John's backpack was recovered, but the orchid was missing. Hope managed to find some of the orchid's seeds and Rolfe made a cure using them. As they were about to return to Salem, John showed up alive, but was poisoned by a native's dart. John was cured and they all flew back to Salem. On the way back, their plane crashed in the Bermuda triangle, but they managed to return to Salem with the cure. John, Hope, Stefano, and Kristen showed up at the hospital with the cure just as Marlena was about to marry Roman, because it was his dying wish, The cure was administered to Roman and Stefano was granted a pardon for his crimes. Stefano's cure began to fail, which Stefano knew would happen. Stefano said that the only way to save Roman was to donate his own blood, mix it with some other drugs, and give it to Roman. Stefano had also suffered from the disease Roman had and he had been saved in a similar manor. However, Stefano only agreed to do this is Marlena would forgive him and be his friend. Stefano announced that he wanted to become a respected citizen of Salem, secretly it was all a part of his master plan. Marlena reluctantly agreed and gave the second cure to Roman, which worked.
Jennifer Devereaux Blake confronted Stefano and told him that he would need the Hortons to back him if he wanted to become a respected citizen of Salem. Jennifer warned him that if any harm came to Jack then he would not have the Hortons' backing. Stefano called T.C. and told him not to harm Jack Devereaux. Unfortunately, Travis and T.C. had pinned Jack under a press, which would smash his head flat. Luckily, T.C. and Travis stopped the press in time before it killed Jack. Jack realized that someone wanted him alive and realized that T.C. must be on Peter or Stefano's payroll.
Stefano finally admitted that Peter was alive, but he claimed he didn't know where he was. Meanwhile, Peter recovered from his shooting on a jungle island. When he was well he payed Trent Davis to kidnap Jennifer Horton and they were to meet at the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, Peter was bitten by a mosquito in the jungle and contacted Jungle Madness, a strange disease that slowly drives a person mad, yet also gives them incredible strength and fits of violence. Stefano contacted Peter and told him that he needed medication and told him to go to the island compound where Dr. Rolfe could give him some pills. Peter acquired the pills, but got into a fight with Dr. Rolfe, who wouldn't let Peter leave till he was cured. Peter lost the pills in a battle with Dr. Rolfe and he flew off in Rolfe's airplane.
Kristen became somewhat crazy and thought that if she could get Elvis back, John may be able to love her again. Kristen goes to Susan and tells her that the only way the baby can be protected from Stefano is if she raised him. Celeste and Marlena soon learn that Stefano is the father of Susan's child, but Stefano refuses to acknowledge it. Later, Marlena hears Kristen talking to a woman about getting her son back. Kristen lured Susan over to the DiMera mansion and drugged her with spiked eggnog. She then tricked Susan into signing away all legal rights over little Elvis to her. Kristen, disguised herself as Susan, and then kidnapped little Elvis. When Susan confronted Kristen, Kristen had the legal documents that proved the child was now hers. Susan almost attempted to kill herself, but John stopped her before she could jump into the icy Salem River. Susan went to get her brother, Thomas (the third triplet), to help her steal back little Elvis. However, Sister Mary Moira stopped Thomas before he could do anything sinful to Kristen. When Stefano learned what Kristen had done he was outraged and helped John steal back little Elvis and return him to Susan. Kristen took Susan to court, but Susan, John, and Marlena double crossed her. John delayed Kristen and Susan pretended to be Kristen at the courthouse and said what she did was wrong and withdrew the legal agreement Susan had signed. When Kristen learned what they had done to her she was furious. John arranged for Susan and Little Elvis to leave the country safely and live in peace. Marlena and John said goodbye to Susan and watched her leave. Stefano arrives at the airport after Susan has left. Stefano vowed to John that he would find his son again.
In 1997, Celeste was drawn to Jonsey's townhouse because she was sure that Peter Blake was hiding there. However, Celeste was shocked when Kristen answered the door. Celeste barged her way in and got into a fight with Celeste. Kristen was hiding the syringe behind her that contained the cure for Jungle Madness, but Stefano warned her it would give a healthy person the Jungle Madness Disease. Kristen and Celeste ended up falling onto the floor and Kristen accidentally, without Celeste's knowledge, injected her with the Virus. Stefano was furious with Kristen not only disowned her, but told her that when he got Elvis back she would not get near the child, let alone raise it.
Peter returned to the DiMera Mansion after he lost Jack and Jen in the Grand Canyon and Stefano helped him try to locate Jen and get a cure for his jungle madness. Stefano came up with the idea of planting a listening device on Laura, who they suspected knew where Jack and Jen were. Jack and Jen were hiding in a circus, which eventually came to Salem. Peter managed to tip the FBI off to Jack's wherabout and he attempted to kidnap Jennifer. Jen got away and speed off in a car, which crashed and she was presumed to have died. Jack was let out of jail to attend Jen's funeral. Laura slipped out of the church to find Kristen and make her pay. Peter showed up with a shotgun and started shooting. Suddenly, Jen's spirit rose from her coffin. Jen convinced Peter to turn himself in. Jack was released from prison immediately. Jack and Abbey returned home to find Jen standing in their home. Jen explained that her death and her resurrection were faked by the people at the circus. Jen told him that Jasper was supposed to tell them all, but Jen wasn't aware that Jasper was in a coma. Jack, Jen, and Abbey all went to the Brady Pub and they celebrated the fact that Jen was alive. Later, Jasper came out of his coma. Peter was taken to jail and Stefano gave him the cure for his jungle madness. Peter asked Stefano if he was going to break him out, but Stefano told him that he couldn't do that because it would ruin his new reputation as an upstanding citizen of Salem. However, Stefano did manage to get Peter placed in a white-collar- crime prison instead and he would be up for parole in a few years.
While Stefano was busy helping Peter, he did not realize what Kristen was planning behind his back.
Kristen planned on leaving town and moved out of the Dimera Mansion. She moved into the Blake house and planned to sell Susan into white slavery. Kristen kidnapped Sister Mary Moira and called Susan. She told Susan that she was to fly to Salem immediately and were a white dress. She was to bring the baby or her sister would be murdered. Susan showed up at the house and talked with Kristen. Kristen offered Susan a soda, and Susan accepted because she thought there was no way she could drug a canned soda. However, she was wrong. Kristen asked where Elvis was and Susan said she left him in England. Susan got into an argument with Kristen and threatened to kill her with a letter opener. Susan eventually passed out from the drugs and Kristen made her getaway, dressed as Susan. Susan, was kidnapped by the man and taken to a palace were she was to be the latest harem girl for "The Supreme Leader"
Kristen, disguised as Susan, was about to fly off to England when Abe and Roman found her. Susan had phoned them earlier and reported that Kristen had kidnapped her sister. Sister Mary had been rescued and they came to the airport to catch Kristen. Suddenly, Abe received a phonecall from John and Marlena. Kristen DiMera was found dead at the Blake House and they told "Susan" that she couldn't leave town just yet. Abe and Roman took "Susan" into the station for questioning. "Susan" claimed to never have been at the house. Suddenly, Edmund burst into Abe's office. Edmund introduced himself as Susan's fiancee. Edmund asked if "Susan" was being arrested and Abe said no. Later, Edmund proposed to "Susan" and Kristen had no choice to accept. Kristen feared that Susan was the person who died in the pool and that she would be charged with her murder if anyone learned she wasn't really Susan.
Kristen kept pretneding to be Susan and let Salem think that Kristen was dead. A funeral for Kristen was held at St. Lukes and all of Salem attended. Laura attended, wearing a bright red outfit. During the service, Laura recalled going to the Blake House the day of Jen's funeral and shooting at Kristen. Later, Stefano stood up and publicly slandered everyone in the room and blamed them all for Kristen's suicide. Stefano got so worked up that he had a heart attack, but Lexie saved him. Stefano was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, Stefano learned that Kristen's death had been reopened by the police and that Laura was the number one suspect. Stefano told this to Laura, who was shocked and also frightened. Later, Marlena Evans confronted Laura with the bottle of Placiden from the Blake House and asked her if she killed Kristen. Laura said no and was appalled by her best friend's accusation.
Stefano went to the cemetery after being released from the hospital and told Kristen's grave how sorry he was that he was angry with her and if he had a second chance he'd let her raise his son. Kristen, just happened to be at the cemetery, disguised as Susan, and she revealed herself to Stefano. Kristen begged Stefano to help her escape town, but Stefano told her if she left now it would make "Susan" look guilty. Later, Kristen learns that Susan was no longer a suspect and was free to leave. Kristen planned on skipping town when Edmund surprised her by bringing Violet and Elvis to Salem. Kristen attempted to drug Violet and sneak off with Baby Elvis. Unfortunately, John found her and brought her to the Penthouse Grill, where Edmund had arranged a surprised wedding. In order not to blow her cover, Kristen married Edmund. After the wedding, Kristen wanted to leave Salem immediately, but Elvis came down with an ear infection and couldn't fly. Kristen, still pretending to be Susan, rushed to the airport for her honeymoon and hoped to beat Edmund to the plane and leave without him. Kristen met up with Stefano at the plane and they hugged as Kristen was about to leave. Suddenly, Edmund showed up and accused Stefano of attempting to deceive "Susan" Stefano left and "Susan" and Edmund boarded the plane.
Stefano went to the Blake House to make sure there was no evidence that could indicate Susan was the person who was killed, not Kristen. Upon searching, Stefano found a picture of Edmund and Susan and on the back was a note from Susan to Edmund. Stefano then realized that Edmund had killed Susan, and now he was alone with Kristen. Stefano feared what Edmund would do to Kristen. Stefano called Kristen, who had learned that Edmund was the killer. Kristen told Stefano that she would escape Edmund once their plane landed.
Meanwhile, Susan escaped her island prison and hired a pilot to fly her to Bermuda where she surprised both Kristen and Edmund. Susan exposed Kristen and both Kristen and Edmund were confused as to who was killed in the pool. Right then Susan realized that Penelope had been killed. Susan to Edmund and Susan about her forth sister, Penelope Kent, who came to Salem to help her. Edmund admitted to killing her, but Susan says she knows it was an accident and that Penelope was dying anyways. To get revenge on Kristen, Susan arranged for her to be sent back to the island prison where she had sent her to. Susan, Elvis, and Edmund live in England and Susan periodically checks in with Stefano, pretending to be Kristen so his suspicions aren't aroused.
After Stefano was hospitalized when he had a heart attack at Kristen DiMera's funeral, Hope decided to use Stefano's stay in the hospital to search out what happened to her during the four missing years of her life. Bo convinced Hope to let him help her and they broke into Jonsey's townhouse. There, Hope saw a picture of a painting which she recognized. Bo and Hope had to split when Bart, Stefano's henchman, showed up. Hope confronted Stefano about her past and Stefano told her the same old story, he found her in New Orleans and cared for her for four years while she underwent painful surgeries. Hope didn't believe Stefano and went to Celeste. Celeste told Hope she couldn't help her because she was only with Hope a few weeks before John rescued her. After Hope left, Celeste sent her a box of possessions Hope had while at Maison Blanche. Later, Stefano visited Celeste and ordered her to tell Hope that she was with her for four years at Maison Blanche. Celeste went to Hope and told her this and she said she lied before because she didn't want Hope to remember that she underwent many surgeries over the four years and they were very painful. Celeste also tried to retrieve the package she sent Hope, but Hope opened it in front of Celeste. Inside were a lipstick container, a silver comb, and a silver compact with a G on it. Hope asked Celeste why she would have these things if her face was scarred for four years. Celeste admitted she lied about being with her because Stefano forced her to. Celeste also suggested that Hope drop her search because Stefano would be furious if he learned she was searching for her past.
Stefano went to Jonsey's townhouse, which in reality was his, to get some cash from a secret hiding place. Unfortunately, the cash was gone. Stefano feared that Jonsey had used it, but he was happy to see that his art treasures and a mysterious freezer in the basement were untouched. Stefano owned the townhouse and everything in it, but Jonsey had been assigned to guard it. Later, Stefano saw some of his art treasures in a pawn shop. Stefano sent Bart out to find Jonsey and soon learned that Jonsey was dead.
Stefano soon went to see Kate Roberts, who knew why he had come to see her. Stefano inherited Kristen's 49% share of Titan. Kate offered to buy the shares from Stefano, but he refused to sell and wanted to remain an investor. Kate and Stefano had a past. Stefano had found Kate when she was a call girl and was responsible for turning her into the business woman she was today.
Vivian decided to host a party at her new townhouse and invited Stefano. Vivian told Ivan that if she could get Stefano on her side, she could take over Titan. To finance her new lifestyle, Vivian began selling some of Jonsey's art treasures. Stefano accepted because he was interested to see where Vivian was staying. Stefano showed up at Vivian's party with Kate. Stefano was shocked to learn that Vivian was living in his townhouse and selling his art treasures. After the party, Kate made a call to a friend about the townhouse because he used to own it. Kate learned that he lost the house to Stefano Dimera. Upon confronting him, Stefano told Kate that the townhouse and the treasures were his, but she must keep it a secret. Stefano said that there was a problem with the IRS and taxes on all the treasures, so he had loaned them to Jonsey.
Stefano decided to empty out the contents of his freezer before Vivian found it. At the same time, Vivian became curious as to what is in her basement. Vivian eventually got down into the basement and found the freezer, but Stefano knocked her out. When she came to, Stefano told her that he found her down here unconscious. Bart, Stefano's henchman, showed up in a radioactive suit and told Vivian there was a chemical explosion and everyone had to evacuate the house until it could be cleaned out. Vivian and Ivan left and Stefano and Bart emptied the freezer.
Vivian decided that the best way to start out her company was to snag Titan's two top authors, a pair of sex therapists. Vivian managed to lure them away from Titan, which enraged Kate. Kate asked Stefano for help and he told her that Vivian would not be a problem for much longer.
Stefano's treasures were legally Vivian's now, but he wanted them back. Stefano schemed to have Vivian declared legally incompetent and then he would swoop in and regain his treasures when he gains power of attorney over Vivian. This time they would be his legally. Dr. Rolfe returned to Salem and Stefano asked him to prepare a potion that would knock Vivian out, but would keep her from remembering what happened to her. Stefano invited Vivian over for dinner and then drugged her. Once she was out, Dr. Rolfe implanted a device in Vivian's tooth which would alter Vivian's mood as Stefano wished. However, Dr. Rolfe told Stefano that he had to be careful with the mood altering device because it would tire Vivian out if overused and could be dangerous to her if he put her in one mood without normalizing her first. Vivian almost died during the surgery, but managed to make it. Ivan and Celeste showed up when Vivian didn't return home and Vivian was acting very odd, Stefano had put her into an up mode. Celeste and Ivan took Vivian home, but she wanted to dance and kept them out all night.
Stefano had a run in with Hope, who questioned him about her past again. Stefano refused to talk and went home. Dr. Rolfe told Stefano that there is no way Hope will remember her past. Stefano hoped so because it would be disastrous if Hope learned what she did for him as Gina.
Stefano began to use his device to make Vivian act irrational in public. Celeste and Ivan were convinced that Stefano was behind Vivian's mood swings
When Vivian found out about the chip implanted in her tooth she was mad. She vowed revenge. Stephano's plan with Hope didn't work out either. Once again Stephano was dead. The last time we saw Stephano he was a corpse Tony was talking to on the island he had been keeping all the Salem stalker victims.

Tony DiMera came to Salem in 1981 to get his wife Liz back, and to check on his assets that were being handled by Stuart Whyland. Tony noticed that Stuart Whyland had made a 25,000$ error in the hospital's financial records. After Stuart got into illegal operations he quickly left town and Tony took over his own finances. Later Tony bought the Twilight Bar and made Trish the manager and hired Danny Grant as the bartender. Tony also became infatuated with Renee Dumonde, and began wooing her with gifts.
In 1982 Tony kidnapped Liz Chandler, who was still legally his wife since they never divorced. Tony wanted Doug's place, and with Stefano's help he forced Liz to spy on Doug for him, threatening Neil with harm if she didn't. Stefano and Tony had learned that there were titanium deposits underneath Doug's Place, and they intended on finding them. They found a passage from a secret room in the DiMera mansion (which Stuart Whyland had built) to the basement of Doug's Place, but in the end the entire thing ended up to be a big hoax.
When Liz asked for a divorce from Tony he refused, and eventually beat and raped her. Later Stefano tried to have Neil killed by planting a bomb in his room. Tony continued to pursue a relationship with Renee, even though Lee warned him to stay away from her. Renee was attacked by the strangler again, but this time she saw his faced, but repressed the memory. Fearing the strangler would try for a fourth time Tony DiMera hid Renee in his house.
In 1982 Tony proposed to Renee, who accepted. However, Renee discovered Lee's diary, and not only learned that Lee was really her mother, but that Stefano DiMera was her father, making Tony her half brother. Renee quickly broke things of with Tony, not telling him the real reason in order to spare his feelings. Tony refused to let Renee go, and when she told him the truth he refused to believe they were siblings. Tony blamed Stefano for breaking them up, and when Tony tried to leave town Stefano faked a heart attack. Tony later learned that he and Renee were in fact not related, and he had the blood tests to prove it. However, Renee had moved on and married David Banning. Even though Tony told Renee about the new evidence she refused to leave David.
Around the same time Liz Chandler became pregnant with Neil's child, though Tony believed it was his. Tony would grant Liz her divorce, but only after the baby was born, because wanted the baby. In 1983 Liz gave birth to her baby, and when Tony realized it was Neil Curtis' child he quickly divorced Liz. In his will Stefano said in order to earn their inheritance Tony and Renee had to live under the same roof for one year, and Renee had to stay married to David Banning. Also, the will stated the first couple to have a child would receive an extra five million dollars. Anna soon became pregnant with Tony's child, and jealous Renee tried to kill Anna in a boating accident. Unfortunately Tony was on the boat with Anna when an explosion went off. Tony and Anna were rescued by David, but Anna lost her baby. Later that year Tony learned exactly how Anna got him to marry her, by drugging him. Tony quickly divorced Anna, even though Anna had fallen in love with him by that time.
In 1984 Tony was chained up in his penthouse apartment by his evil look-a-like cousin Andre, who took Tony's place. Tony was eventually rescued by Roman, and after a duel with Andre, Andre managed to slip away. Andre returned to Stefano's island compound were the two planned on acquiring three prisms designed by Larry Welches father. Stefano wanted these prisms to heal an inoperable brain tumor he had. One prism was in the belly of an alligator, another in a necklace owned by Daphne DiMera which fell into Calliope Jones' hands ,and the third in Russia.
In 1984 Alex, Anna, and Tony picked Haiti for a photo shot for their newly formed fashion company. On board the plane flying to Haiti was Eugene Bradford, Calliope Jones, Bo Brady, Hope Williams, Anna DiMera, Liz Chandler, Carlo, Daphne DiMera, Andre DiMera, and Tony DiMera. On the way to Haiti Andre DiMera surprisingly popped up, and when he threatened the pilot to change his course the pilot died of a heart attack, and the plane crashed on a remote island. As a result of the plane crash Daphne DiMera died in Andre's arms. When Tony learned about this the to fought, and Andre met his demise in a patch of quicksand. Tony gave the necklace with the prism to and island girl, but Stefano managed to get the prism back. Roman Brady showed up, and fought with Stefano atop of a nearby cliff as Bo watched from below. Roman eventually fell, and died on the beach in Bo's arms. When Bo left Roman to get help, Roman's body was gone when he returned. Eventually the Coast Guard arrived, and everyone was rescued.
In 1985 Tony and Anna became engaged once again. Their first marriage was thwarted by Alex Marshall, who hired an actor to play the part of the minister. Their second wedding was thwarted when Anna was kidnapped by an Asian potentate. Eventually Tony and Anna were married, and returned to Salem. After returning from Salem Anna was accused of murdering her an art dealer, Claud Van Zandt, who swindled her out of profits from pieces of hers he sold. Anna was innocent, and while trying to prove her innocence Tony disappeared. Anna was also blamed for her husbands disappearance, but in truth Tony was held captive by a very much alive Claud Van Zandt.
Claud was eventually discovered as being alive, and Anna was let off the hook. Tony was blackmailed by Emma Donovan to divorce Anna and leave Salem. Tony DiMera returned to Salem in 1993 to marry his fiancee, Kristen Blake. Stefano told Kristen that before he died, he wanted to see them marry. Kristen agreed to marry Tony, even though she loved John Black. However, Kristen left Tony at the altar to help John Black find Marlena and Roman's daughter, Belle.
Billie reed decided to turn her life around and started her own cosmetics company called Countess Willamina. To fund her company, Billie convinced Alive and Maggie Horton to become investors. Unfortunately, Kate Roberts bought out Countess Willamina to spite Billie for posing as the author of Jack's manuscript. Later that year, Billie befriended Tony DiMera. Tony bought up 49% of Titan Industries and then brought Billie into Titan to run the Countess Willamina division.
Tony and Kristen were about to marry when John showed up at the wedding, claiming that he had evidence linking Stefano to Curtis Reed's murder. When Stefano hopped in a car and drive off, John shot at the tires. Stefano had planned it so his car would go off the road and he would be "killed" in the crash. Kristen, blaming John for her father's death, married Tony on February 18, 1994. Tony learned later that Stefano was alive, but he kept it a secret because he feared Kristen would leave him.
In late 1994, Kristen, Tony, Peter, Jen, Bo, and Billie all came to Maison Blanche for a charity event Kristen held. While there, Jen and Peter made love. Also, Billie saw a woman who looked like Bo's dead wife Hope, but nobody would believe her. Hope was at Maison Blanche, but she was called Gina by Stefano and Celeste. Roman also showed up, but to arrest Peter Blake for trafficking drugs in one of his clubs. A jealous Celeste leaked gas into the cell where John and Marlena were being held and started a fire. Roman managed to rescue them. John came out and shocked both Kristen and Tony, who were horrified to see John in shackles. Kristen looked up and screamed when she spotted her dead father, Stefano. Tony ran back into the house to try and retrieve his father's computer, which contained a file on John's past. Maison Blanche burst into flames. Tony got the computer, but went blind in the process.
Kristen Blake began sleeping with John. Later Kristen learned that her husband, Tony, knew that Stefano was alive all along and he had switched Kristen's birth control pills with sugar pills. Kristen left him and began living with John Black in his loft. Kristen also managed to crack the notebook computer from Maison Blanche and was horrified to learn that John was a priest. Kristen told John the truth, but he refused to believe it. John and Kristen traveled to a parish where John served and his mentor, Father Francis, recognized him as Father Black. He was also recognized by a woman from the parish. John had put his handprints in a wall near the parish and he was shocked when they matched. John was forced to accept that he was a priest. Though he wanted to be released from his vows, a friend told John to live as a priest for awhile in order to see what he was giving up. Kristen returned to Tony, who had bought a gun and was planning on killing John. When Kristen told Tony that John was a priest, Tony backed off from killing him. Later that year Tony regained his site, but he continued to lie in hopes of catching Kristen and John together.
When John Black was released from his vows as a priest, Kristen left Tony to be with John. Toni soon learned that he had a rare and fatal blood disease that would end his life very soon. Tony formulated a plan in which he would frame John for his own murder. Tony wrote his entire plan down in his diary and he also confessed it to Father Francis. When Tony learned that Father Francis was going to tell John Black the truth, Tony confronted Father Francis. Tony took Father Francis' blood pressure pills and agitated him into a heart attack. Later, Tony cut of Father Francis' oxygen at the hospital and caused him to lapse into a coma.
Tony went to Aremid for Peter Blake and Jennifer Deveraux's wedding and he set a trap at the Blake House for John. At the wedding reception, Tony worked John into a frenzy and got him to shout out that he would kill him. Tony then went up to his room and lured John up there by placing a phone call to John. Tony disguised his voice and told John that Tony was the one who attempted to kill Father Francis. Up in his room, Tony and John fought. John eventually left through another door, which Tony had sprinkled gunpowder on. Tony then began begging John not to shoot him as various Salemites listened in. Tony then activated a device which cause his gun to shoot at him and then fall to the floor. When the Salemites had finally gotten into the room, Tony was mortally wounded. Tony died, but one thing ruined his plan, the Woman in White got a hold of his diary.
It was seven years before the citizens of Salem learned that Tony was not dead, and had in fact been alive all this time...he made his grand re-entrance at John and Marlena's anniversary party. The man who died in Aremid was not Tony, but his presumed dead lookalike cousin André. He still suffers from a rare blood disease, and now a new-found obsession with Marlena. He might have something new to keep his mind occupied though...he found out that twins Rex and Cassie are his children with Marlena. He had another shock coming shortly after that though...John Black was really his half-brother, from his mother Daphne's side. Since John still believes Tony capable of anything, they haven't been able to become friends. Tony was devastated to eventually learn that Rex and Cassie were not his children after all, and was furious with Stefano, knowing that his father did it on purpose.
Tony was the number one suspect for the murders until Mickey Horton agreed to defend him, and got him out on bail. The night of the Horton Circus, Tony took center stage, promising to reveal the killer. While dragging out the moment for dramatic purposes, Tony had a bucket of blood dumped on him, and was attacked by Horton the tiger. He was in the hospital, recovering from his wounds, when the Salem Stalker came in to administer a fatal dose of drugs. Tony's last words to his killer clarified his knowledge of who the Salem Stalker was, as Tony looked up into Marlena Evans' eyes. Tony died while trying desperately to communicate the truth to the others.
Months later, it was discovered that Tony was one of the many Salem residents now living on the island of Melaswen. He had hidden himself for quite sometime, and when he made himself known, the other residents didn't trust him. After sabotaging every attempt the islanders made to get to freedom, Tony was finally revealed as the mastermind behind the whole shebang, a plot he cooked up to get back at everyone he felt had wronged him. It turns out he had never forgotten about his previous wife, Kristen, who left him for John Black years earlier. He again faked his death, making certain the island residents believed he was deceased, but when not all of the Salem residents made it home, Tony revealed himself as their captor.
All the captives eventually escaped, but Tony wasn't finished wreaking havoc on the citizens of Salem. Using an intermediary, he enlisted Sami Brady into a scheme to punish all of those who had done her wrong, while satisfying his own need for revenge. Sami eventually turned on him after he took Lucas, Brady, Philip, Shawn and Rex hostage, but because she was involved for months, he is holding it over her head.
Once Tony was captured and retunred to Salem for trial and sentencing he contacted Sami. He told her if she didn't help him escape he would make sure everyone found out that she had been Stan. Sami was to get the transfer plans off of her father's computer and give them to Bart so Tony could escape.
Sami got the plans but was unawre of the fact that her father had expected somoene to get the information so he planted fake stuff on his computer. When Tony attempted his escape he was caught. Tony had all the proof needed to show that without a doubt Sami was Stan to Kate just in time for Kate to stop Sami and Lucas's wedding.

ANDRE DIMERA
André DiMera is a nephew of Stefano DiMera through one of his brothers. Having been employed by his uncle Stefano to get rid of any evidence of his faked death, André was the Salem Slasher.
In the summer of 1983, Renée DuMonde, Stefano DiMera's daughter, married Alex Marshall, an ex-cohort of the deceased Stefano. After she discovered that he had only married her because of her inheritance from Stefano, she told him, and everyone else she felt had done her wrong, exactly what she thought of them at a party that had been organized at the DiMera residence in honor of her recent nuptials. After she finished the very heated speech, she went upstairs, and was soon joined by Tony DiMera, who had realized his strong attraction to her during her speech, and the two made love. Not long after this, Delia Abernathy discovered Renée's body. She had been stabbed with a knife and a raven feather had been left by her side. Upon further forensic examination, however, it was discovered that she'd died from a poison placed on the knife - the stab wound had not been fatal. Renée had been the first victim of the serial killer that would soon be called The Salem Slasher.
It was exactly during this time that Tony seemed to have undergone a personality change. Although Tony was extremely furious at Renée's death, which caused him to offer a $1 million reward for information on her murderer, he seemed strange. He showed affection toward Anna, whom he had already divorced, and even seemed interested in Gwen Davies. Alone in the penthouse, he would receive strange phone calls from someone wearing a ring with a Phoenix insignia on it. Meanwhile, another victim was claimed by The Salem Slasher. This time, it was a nurse from University Hospital who moonlighted as a prostitute, Kelly Chase. Only a week after Kelly's murder, Gwen Davies was also attacked by the knife-wielding killer but escaped unharmed. Not long after this, a third victim was claimed. This time, the new bride of Eugene Bradford, Trista Evans. By this time, Tony seemed to desperate to pin the crimes on someone, supposedly to honor the memory of his beloved Renée. And finally, Tony found his scapegoat. Brett Fredericks, Anna's estranged brother, firmly believed that his sister had killed Renée and Trista. Brett had seen her wiping blood off of her fingers the night Renée had been killed, and Trista had seen her bloody hands as well. This seemed to be proof enough for Tony and he turned her into the police. However, she was not charged with the crime for lack of evidence. Not much later, however, a fourth victim, Leticia Bradford, was murdered by what appeared to be her cousin Eugene.
One night as Marlena Evans and Sandy Horton walked into prostitute Daisy Hawkins' apartment, Daisy was killed by the Slasher; problem was that he looked exactly like Roman Brady, Marlena's husband! Almost all of the Slasher's victims until now had been closely acquainted with Roman, especially Trista and Leticia; with this much evidence against him, Roman was arrested for the murders. Meanwhile, Tony was instructed by the "Phoenix" to steal a certain object called the Baka from Eugene. After much trouble, Tony was successful in taking the Baka from him.
In late 1983, Roman escaped from jail and faked his death by causing his house to explode. During his investigation, he figured out that the killer had framed him by wearing a latex mask of his likeness when committing the crimes. It was at this time that the audience learned exactly why Tony had been acting so incredibly peculiar: Tony was the killer. Or was he? As it turned out, Tony wasn't Tony at all. He was André DiMera, Tony's cousin and Stefano's nephew. Furthermore, Stefano DiMera was still alive, and he was the mysterious Phoenix. André had come to Salem at his uncle's request in order to tie all loose ends that had been left. When Stefano had been jailed earlier that year, he had faked a stroke in his jail cell. He had been taken to the hospital, where he made his escape and a different body from the morgue was tagged as his own. Now, he was eliminating any trace of his disappearance by eliminating those who could cause problems for him. At the same time, he was exercising his revenge on Tony for not being his son. André, who was a failed but classically-trained actor, had been given flawless plastic surgery so that he looked exactly like his cousin Tony. Then, the night of Alex and Renée's party, André took Tony's place while Tony was locked up in a secret dungeon in the penthouse. Renée's death, however, had not been planned. After Tony and Renée had made love, she'd realized that André was not Tony and so he felt compelled to kill her. Kelly Chase was murdered because she was one of the nurses on duty when Stefano was brought into the operation room; she was the one who put a body from the morgue in place of Stefano's and put his tag on it. Trista was killed because she'd discovered some discrepancies in the lab reports regarding the time and cause of death, and it would have been only a matter of time before she discovered the entire truth. Now that those people had been disposed of, André had to cover his own tracks. And so, having taken advantage of the fact that Eugene Bradford was the main suspect in the killings, André had disguised himself as Eugene and murdered Leticia. Leticia had a pet raven and lived with Eugene; Eugene had been a suspect two years earlier of being the Salem Strangler, so her death pointed straight to him.
Thanks to strategically-placed cameras throughout Salem, Stefano and André knew darn well that Roman had not died, and continued to monitor him as he tried to find out who was framing him for the murders. In the meantime, André learned Stefano's curiosity for the Baka. The object was an ancient artifact that had the DiMera family crest on one side, and the Bradford family crest on the other; it proved a link between the two families, which had been forged through a marriage in the 18th century. Legend had it that the Baka held power over the two families. In the hands of the DiMeras, the Baka gave a positive effect that made the family extremely powerful; in the hands of the Bradfords, it had the opposite effect. Stefano wanted the Baka to assure his strength and success. Meanwhile, André and Stefano attempted to drive Eugene crazy by conjuring up ghosts from his past. Secretly, André placed 3-D projectors throughout Eugene's house, creating ghostly images of Trista. And Delia called Eugene constantly on the phone pretending to be his other late wife, Bonnie. Although the ruse worked in the beginning, Eugene eventually learned it was trickery. Meanwhile, André began organizing a grand charity event for the hospital at Stefano's request. This spectacular event would be the setting for the final phase of Stefano's plans. Meanwhile, André continued to have Tony in shackles in the penthouse, all the while romancing Anna.
In early 1984, André finally began to slip up in his role of Tony. It all began with an old friend of Tony's, Louis Coureville, who was shocked when "Tony" didn't remember. This incident awakened Anna's curiosity. But she finally realized that Tony was not Tony when she accidentally discovered the dungeon in the penthouse. Inside, she found the real Tony in shackles wearing a helmet that kept him in the dark. Just as Anna was getting ready to help Tony, André found her and locked her inside the dungeon as well. Meanwhile, following Stefano's orders, André kidnapped Roman (who had figured out that Stefano was behind everything) and held him prisoner in the penthouse. Roman eventually escaped, although that was also part of Stefano's game. Now, everything was set for the last phase.
The charity benefit was to be a nationally-televised concert featuring stars like Al Jarreau and Billy Vera & the Beaters. André was to make one last appearance as the Slasher to claim his final victim, Marlena. At the end of the show, when Marlena would receive the money for the hospital, André was to come out in his Roman disguise and kill Marlena in front of millions, sealing Roman's fate forever. They would then quickly escape from Salem, while a bomb blew up the entire concert hall with everyone in it. André only had one condition: he wanted to take Anna with him. The night of the benefit everything was set. But just as André was going to kill Marlena on stage, Alex Marshall, who was extremely drunk, accidentally tripped André and foiled his entire plan. André quickly made it offstage and made his way to the closed-off prop room where an incredibly furious Stefano waited for him. There, Stefano told André that he was not going to help him. In fact, Stefano had never planned to help him escape because he was still very bitter over Renée's death! And so, Stefano escaped without him and left André to be killed in the explosion.
Despite uncle Stefano's rejection, André managed to dodge the police that had swarmed over the concert hall. After everyone was evacuated and the bomb disarmed, André ran into none other than Tony and Anna themselves. They had escaped the dungeon. Now, after months of torture in the dungeon, Tony wanted to settle the score with André. And they did it with a good old-fashioned sword fight. After an intense duel, Tony and André only managed to stab each other and both wound up being taken to the hospital. Problem: once in the hospital and out of their respective clothes, it was impossible to tell who was who. André continued to act like Tony so that he couldn't be arrested, because the police didn't know who to arrest. However, he knew it was just a matter of time before they figured out who was the real Tony. Fortunately for André, he received a very lucky phone call from Delia. Although Delia despised him, she felt compelled to help him. And help him she did. In no time, André was out of the hospital and on his way to London undetected.
About six months later, André was still in London acting in a production of Shakespeare's "Othello," when he decided to gain Stefano's trust again. Along with Delia's sister, Abigail Abernathy, he came back to Salem to retrieve one of the prisms Stefano was now desperately looking for to cure his brain tumor, which he saw in a newspaper photo dangling from Kimberly Brady's neck. However, when he arrived in Salem he was led to believe that Stefano was truly dead, so André decided to proclaim himself the new head of Stefano's Cartel. In trying to locate the prism, André murdered one of Stefano's cohorts, Maxwell Hathaway. Finally, he found out that the prism had disguised as a diamond necklace and it was going to be used at a photo shoot in Haiti for Anna DiMera Designs. So, André disguised himself as a pilot and infiltrated the plane going to Haiti, carrying Eugene, Liz, Hope, Tony, Anna, Bo Brady, Kate Honeycutt, Calliope Jones, his aunt Daphne DiMera, and Carlo Forenza. Halfway into the flight, André caused the pilot to have a heart attack and took over the craft, which soon crashed on an island in the Caribbean.
Thanks to the crash on the island and the confusion that followed, Tony was separated from the rest of the group, and André was able to assume the role of Tony once again to fool everyone. The performance of a lifetime came when Daphne died in his own arms as a result of injuries from the crash. Just as Daphne was about to reveal that "Tony" wasn't Tony, she died. In the end, André found that Tony had the prism. When he finally found Tony in the jungle with an island girl named Jasmine, they battled it out once again. This time, their fight involved bamboo sticks instead of swords. During the duel, they both fell into a patch of quicksand. And right then and there, Stefano, alive and well, showed up and snatched the prism necklace from around Jasmine's neck and left both André and Tony to die in the quicksand. While Jasmine pulled Tony out of the sand, André only sank into it and died.

Laura Horton spotted Peter talking with a man on the docks and Peter feared that Laura would eventually learn that the man was a drug dealer. Peter enlisted the aid of Daniel Scott to gaslight Laura. Daniel dated Laura and even had her office repainted. However, the paint was toxic and it caused Laura to become drowsy. Using a speaker built into a souvenir bust in Laura's room, Peter made Laura believe that he was planning on killing Jennifer. Laura looked like she was going insane and was going to be re-committed to an asylum. Afraid, Laura ran away and hid out with Vivian's help Peter's plan failed when Jen fell asleep in her mom's office overnight and became convinced that foreign troops were invading America (or some whacked out story). Jen had actually heard a story on the radio and became confused. Laura returned to the hospital after Jen was admitted. When she was spotted, Laura fled and ended up trapped on a faulty fire escape. Jen came after her mother and ended up trapped as well. Peter eventually rescued the two and came off looking like a hero. Mike had Laura's office analyzed and they blamed Laura and Jen's hallucinations on the paint. Daniel Scott left town and Peter decided that Laura was no longer a threat.
Jack Devereaux returned to Salem in 1994 and moved back into his house, because he still owned 50% of it. Jack was hell-bent on breaking up Peter and Jen, but Jen assured him that she loved Peter and was going to marry him.
Peter took Jennifer to his home town of Aremid where he proposed to her. There they learned about the legend of the Woman in White, a ghost who haunted the town. Peter thought it was rubbish, but Jen wasn't sure. Jack showed up in hopes of thwarting Peter somehow and he befriended a young girl, Sarah, who helped her uncle run the local pub and in. Sarah knew much about the Woman in White and she also wanted to help Jack. While staying at the Blake House, Peter and Jen found a portrait a Woman in White who was actually Peter's mother, Rachel. Jen made a fire and fell asleep at the Blake house and the Woman in White closed the flew and filled the house with smoke. Jen was rescued by Peter and Jack, but Sarah said it was the woman in white. Sarah fell in love with Jack and actually dressed up as the woman in white to get close to him, but she was found out by Peter. Peter and Jen both thought Jack was using Sarah to try and break them up. Peter and Jen went back to Salem, but Sarah told Jack that there really was a Woman in White.
After returning home, Peter decided to rid himself of all his shady dealings, including his club, The Blue Moon. Peter had left Jude StClair in charge of the club and he was planning to turn it over to him, but he had tasks for Jude first. Peter asked Jude to dig up some dirt on Jack.
Peter returned to Aremid to marry Jennifer. Jude eventually discovered that Jack and Laura had an affair at The Meadows. Peter used this to his advantage and managed to arranged for Jennifer to find Jack in Laura in bed and Jack was kissing Laura. Jennifer was crushed to learn that her mother was not only in love with her ex-husband, but that they had been intimate. Jennifer was crushed and Peter was there to comfort her.
Peter meet with Jude StClair once again in Aremid to give him the deed to the Blue Moon. Jude dropped it near the pavilion where Peter was going to marry Jen. Jack found it and saw Peter's name on it. Suddenly Jude knocked him out, took the deed, and then ran. The pavilion caught fire, but Peter managed to save Jack. Jack was locked in jail accused of arson, but was later released when it was proved to be an accident. While in jail on November 21, 1995, Peter and Jennifer married.
After Peter and Jen's wedding, Tony DiMera was tragically murdered. John Black became the accused and Peter was named the prosecutor. Jack and Jen were convinced of John's innocence and when Jude StClair attacked Hope in Aremid the two thought he may have killed Tony. Jack and Jen returned to Salem and went undercover into the Blue Moon. Just as they were about to find the evidence linking Peter to Jude, a police bust occurred. The evidence was taken to the police station and when it was about to be opened, Peter managed to have it permanently sealed.
Peter meet up with Jude and gave him the account numbers to an account in the Cayman Islands as a payoff to get Jude out of the country. Later, Peter learned that Jack and Jen went to the Cayman islands to try and learn the truth about the bank account. Peter managed to erase his name from it and exposed Jack and Jen for being frauds, which caused them to return to Salem.
John Black's Trial resumed and Peter Blake put Kristen DiMera on the stand. Kristen admitted to the court that she believed that John killed her husband, Tony DiMera. John was sentenced to death because Stefano blackmailed the judge. The death sentence was to be carried out immediately. Meanwhile, Stefano dined with Marlena Brady at the Blake House. Marlena managed to get Tony's diary and give it to the Woman in White. The Woman in White dropped it on the way to the courthouse, but Jack Devereaux found it and got it there in time to save John from the gas chamber.
Bo Brady decides to go search for Hope in the mountains of Aremid one last time. Bo takes flight in a helicopter and upon hearing it nearby, Hope starts a fire in the cabin that Jude is holding her in. Bo goes searching for the cabin, but is lost in a snowstorm. Jennifer Blake, Peter Blake, Jack Devereaux, and Mike Horton come looking for Bo and eventually find him. Bo escapes his sickbed and finds Hope, who has escaped from Jude. Jude shows up and shoots Bo, hitting him in the arm. Peter and Jack show up as well and Jack witnesses Peter shoot Jude St. Clair in cold blood. Peter claims he was defending himself and everyone else believes it. They all return to Salem shortly after.
In June of 96, Marlena Evans was kidnapped by Stefano DiMera. Rachel felt that she may know where Stefano took Marlena, so she has Laura put her under hypnosis. While under, Rachel reveals that Peter was involved with Jude StClair. Laura confronted Peter about this, but she decided to keep it to herself in order not to hurt Jen.
Peter and Jennifer flew to Paris when they learned that Kristen and Rachel were caught in an explosion.Jack came to Paris as well, hoping to help his friends and find dirt on Peter. Kristen told Peter the truth about the baby and asked him to help her get pregnant again. Peter and Kristen installed a hypnotic device of Stefano's behind a mirror in John's room and try to trick him into making love. However, while they were making love, John called out Marlena's name. Jack and Jen decided to try and find Stefano's lair in the underground. Jack found some books with Peter's name in them, but at the same time Peter set off charges to destroy what was left of the tunnels. Jack and Jen were caught in the explosion, but managed to escape. Jack learned that Daniel Scott is also in Paris and lures him into a high-priced poker game. When Daniel couldn't pay his debt, Jack paid it for him in order for the goods on Peter. Daniel confessed everything and Jack told Jen the truth about Peter. Jen didn't believe Jack, but Laura came forward with what she knew about Peter as well. Peter, Jen, and everyone returned to Salem.
Stefano, who was very alive, returned to Salem and learned about Peter and Jennifer's troubles. Stefano revealed himself to Peter and promised to help him get Jennifer. He also learned about Kristen and John and promised to help Kristen keep John. Peter brought Daniel Scott to Salem and had him tell Jenifer that Jack made up all the lies about Peter and he was forced to go along with Jack because he needed the money. Later, Jen sees Peter talking with Daniel in Salem Place. Jen attempts to get the truth out of Daniel, but he won't talk. Jen tells Daniel that she already knows everything and was just testing him. Daniel believes Jen and tells her everything, including how they gaslighted Laura. Jen returns home and kicks Peter out of her house. Jack planned to leave Salem, but he felt that Jen and Abbey were in danger from Peter. Peter, following Stefano's advice, was planning on kidnapping Jen. Stefano tells Kristen that she should try and marry John as soon as she can. He also blackmails Kristen's doctor into keeping quiet about the fact that she wasn't pregnant.
Jack did some investigating and learned that Peter was planning to kidnap Jen. Jack attempted to get the police department's help, but they were unable to do anything. After purchasing gun, Jack headed over to Jen's place. Upon arriving, Jack found Peter creeping up the stairs with a syringe in his hand. The two fought and Jack's gun went off. Peter was rushed to the hospital, but died later on. Jack was arrested for his murder and Jen bailed him out.
Salem gathered for Peter's funeral. After the funeral, Laura saw Kristen adjusting her pregnancy pad when she thought nobody was looking. Laura ran back into the church to tell Marlena, but she ended up coming face to face with Stefano and Peter. Stefano revealed that the body in the casket was Daniel Scott, with a latex mask of Peter on. Stefano kidnapped Laura and took both her and Peter to the Blake house. Peter was very ill still and he forced Laura to care for him. Kristen eventually stumbled upon both Laura and Peter. Stefano wanted to take Laura with her when he and Peter left the country, but Kristen and Peter asked if there was another way to solve the problem. Stefano eventually had one of his scientists zap Laura's mind with a laser that would remove her memory for the last few days. Stefano placed Laura out in Salem park on a bench and he and Peter skipped town.
Peter recovered from his shooting on a jungle island. When he was well he payed Trent Davis to kidnap Jennifer Horton and they were to meet at the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, Peter was bitten by a mosquito in the jungle and contacted Jungle Madness, a strange disease that slowly drives a person mad, yet also gives them incredible strength and fits of violence. Stefano contacted Peter and told him that he needed medication and told him to go to the island compound where Dr. Rolfe could give him some pills. Peter acquired the pills, but got into a fight with Dr. Rolfe, who wouldn't let Peter leave till he was cured. Peter lost the pills in a battle with Dr. Rolfe and he flew off in Rolfe's airplane. When Peter finally made it to the Grand Canyon, Trent was dead and Jack and Jen were gone. Jack and Jen returned to Salem, as did Peter. Jack and Jen spent Christmas with their family, but Jack decided to sneak away and try to catch Peter. Laura provided Jack with a car and he took off, and Peter followed him. Unfortunately, Jen and Abbey stowed away in the car with Jack.
Jack, Jen, and Abbey went on the run and ended up in a seedy motel. Peter was hot on their trail and also ended up in the same hotel. Peter tipped the FBI off to Jack's whereabouts, but Jack managed to escape. However, Peter was found by the FBI. Peter attacked an agent during a Jungle Madness attack and ran off. Jack and Jen ended up joining the Ward's World Famous Circus, owned by Jasper Ward. Jack confessed his problems to Jasper, who understood and still gave Jack a job as an animal keeper. Jen got in on the act and replaced the woman who Ernesto threw daggers at. Even Abbey joined the circus as a clown.
Peter returned to the DiMera Mansion and Stefano helped him try to locate Jen and get a cure for his jungle madness. Stefano came up with the idea of planting a listening device on Laura, who they suspected knew where Jack and Jen were. Laura Horton, Maggie Horton, and Celeste Perrault all went to the Salem Spa for some relaxation. Peter disguised himself as a masseuse and planed to plant the device on Laura, but almost killed her during another Jungle Madness attack. Later, Laura set a trap for Peter by inadvertently hinting that Jack and Jen were in Dayton, Ohio. Kristen overheard Laura, who told Peter. Peter raced to Dayton, Ohio, as did the police who Laura tipped off. Unfortunately, the circus Jack and Jen were hiding in was in Dayton, Ohio. Jasper covered for Jack and Jen and Peter returned home when Stefano warned him the entire thing was a trap set by Laura.
The circus Jack and Jen were hiding out in was on the verge of going broke. Jack convinces Jaspar Ward to take the circus to Salem, Jack had a plan to trap Jennifer. Upon arriving in Salem, Jack sent Hope some tickets and asked her to come to the circus. However, Peter followed Hope and attacked her, but she was saved by Bo. Peter tipped the FBI off to where Jack was hiding and he was arrested. Peter kidnapped Jen, but also attacked her and knocked her unconscious. When Jen came too she fled. Jen hoped in Jasper's car and took off and Peter followed her. Jen's car eventually went off the road and exploded. Peter stopped at a phone booth and found Jasper Ward calling the police to report news about Jennifer, but Peter attacked him and put him in a coma.
Jack was placed back in prison and Laura came to see him. Earlier, Laura confronted Kristen and vowed to find Peter and make them both pay. After leaving, Laura realized she had lost her prescription of Placiden, unaware that Kristen had found it. Laura told Jack that she had bought a gun and was going to take care of the DiMera. Later, Abe came to see Jack to tell him that a woman's body was found in the car Jen was driving. Jack refused to believe it was Jen, until they showed him a necklace Peter had bought for her that was found in the wreckage. The necklace had an inscription from Peter to Jen. Jack and the rest of Salem were forced to admit that Jen was dead.
Jack was let out of jail to attend Jen's funeral. Laura slipped out of the church to find Kristen and make her pay. Peter showed up with a shotgun and started shooting. Suddenly, Jen's spirit rose from her coffin. Jen convinced Peter to turn himself in. Jack was released from prison immediately. Jack and Abbey returned home to find Jen standing in their home. Jen explained that her death and her resurrection were faked by the people at the circus. Jen told him that Jasper was supposed to tell them all, but Jen wasn't aware that Jasper was in a coma. Jack, Jen, and Abbey all went to the Brady Pub and they celebrated the fact that Jen was alive. Later, Jasper came out of his coma.
Peter was taken to jail and Stefano gave him the cure for his jungle madness. Peter asked Stefano if he was going to break him out, but Stefano told him that he couldn't do that because it would ruin his new reputation as an upstanding citizen of Salem. However, Stefano did manage to get Peter placed in a white-collar- crime prison instead and he would be up for parole in a few years.

Kristen Blake first came to Salem in 1993, and was saved from being mugged by John Black. Originally she was grateful, but when she learned who he was, she wanted nothing to do with him. She kept finding herself attracted to him, but her brother Peter constantly warned him to stay away from John Black. When a mysterious sniper began firing at John in Salem Place, he saved Kristen's life, and Kristen found it harder and harder to deny how she felt for him. Alice Horton decided to do a little match-making between the two of them, and put them in charge of the Horton Center together, then arranged for them to both be at the cabin, where they made love for the first time.
When John started looking into Kristen's past, he found a bloody wedding dress, and Kristen confessed that she was engaged to be married, but that they were lying low right now because someone tried to kill her husband-to-be at the wedding. Not only that, but Kristen had an even bigger secret...she was Stefano DiMera's ward, and she was hiding her 'father' who was dying of a brain tumor. When Stefano was kidnapped, she had to pay big money to get him back. John was horrified to learn she was Stefano's foster daughter, but still loved her. However, she swore to a dying Stefano that she would marry Tony, and she couldn't break her promise.
Kristen was all set to marry Tony when Marlena's daughter, Belle, disappeared (whom everyone thought was Roman's), and Kristen and John posed as husband and wife to get her back, horrified to learn that the woman trying to get rid of the baby was none other than teenager Sami Brady! This seemed to cement their relationship, and Stefano knew he had to break them apart. So he got his hands on Sami's diary, and the truth was revealed that it was John who actually fathered little Belle. Kristen went ahead with the wedding to Tony, but at the ceremony, John showed up, claiming he had proof that Stefano was involved in Curtis Reed's death. When it seemed Stefano died at John's hands, Kristen went through with the wedding to Tony.
In 1994, Kristen threw a charity event at Maison Blanche in her childhood home of Aremid. Kristen was shocked first to see a shackled John, and later to learn that Stefano was really alive and well. Tony ran back into Maison Blanche to get the laptop containing a file on John's past, and went blind as a result. So even though she was sleeping with John, she couldn't leave her blind husband. Later she learned that Tony switched her birth control pills with sugar pills, so she left him, and moved in with John. She was all prepared to marry John when they cracked the files on the computer, and learned that John was actually a priest! So Kristen, a strong Catholic, returned to Tony.
In 1995, Kristen worked with John (who was functioning as a priest) to save Marlena from satanic possession. After that, John arranged to be released from his vows, and Kristen then arranged to have her marriage to Tony annulled so that her marriage with John would be recognized by the Catholic church. Once together, Kristen learned that she needed to have a child quickly, as she had a medical condition which would soon render her infertile. She still planned to be happy with John, but when they all went to Aremid for Peter and Jennifer's wedding, Tony arranged to kill himself and have John blamed. John was arrested and, thanks to Peter, sentenced to death. Kristen couldn't help but wonder if, just maybe, John really did kill Tony, and at the trial, Peter forced her to admit that she believed John killed Tony.
Kristen convinced the Woman in White, whom they met in Aremid, to return to Salem with them, and Kristen, John, the woman, and Marlena all moved into the DiMera mansion. Kristen found a letter from John to Marlena, confessing his love, and hid it, terrified she would lose John. Marlena found the letter, but at that time, Kristen discovered she was pregnant. Marlena agreed to keep quiet because she knew that Kristen's pregnancy was very precarious, and moved out when John proposed to Kristen. Kristen was later shocked when, under hypnosis, John claimed that the Woman in White was really her mother, Rachel Blake. Rachel knew that Kristen had hid the letter, and begged her to confess. Under hypnosis a second time, Kristen asked John if he loved her or Marlena more, and he answered Marlena. When Stefano returned to town, she agreed to help him kidnap Marlena in the hopes of winning John back. This was the beginning of Kristen's decent into DiMera-ism, as in the beginning, she had been purely good.
When Rachel and Marlena flew to San Francisco so Rachel could have reconstructive surgery, Marlena made Kristen swear not to sleep with John or wear his ring. What Marlena didn't know is that Kristen had given Stefano all the flight information to kidnap Marlena. Stefano arranged for a double to be captured, and Stefano had kidnapped Marlena! After Stefano faked a crash, all were convinced he and Marlena were dead. Stefano supplied John with goggles that enabled him to see Marlena, and when she used the goggles, Kristen realised that Marlena was writing diary entries about her, and planned to destroy the goggles. Stefano planted a bomb to go off next time the goggles were used, which happened to catch John and Kristen. Luckily, they and the unborn child were fine, and John promised not ot use the goggles again. When Rachel suggested that John and Kristen go to Paris (following the 'Queen of the Night' game), John left, and Kristen and Rachel soon followed when Stefano sent them a fax supposedly from John, asking them to come.
John realised Stefano was holding Marlena prisoner, and arranged a grand ball, but Stefano was one step ahead of him, and arranged for many women to be there, all of whom looked exactly like Marlena. However, Marlena and Kristen came face to face, and after a confrontation, Marlena ran to John. Stefano drugged John, though, and not only did he get Marlena back, but he managed to steal Marie Antoinette's crown as well. Kristen tried to find John to save him from Stefano, and an explosion down there resulted in the presumed deaths of both Stefano and Rachel. Later, at the hospital, Kristen lost her baby, but convinced the doctor to keep quiet, who got even with her by telling John that he and Kristen could not make love. Kristen and Peter used a hypnotic device to get John into Kristen's bed, but it was Marlena's name he called out.
Stefano appeared alive and well in Salem, and arranged to hire Susan Banks, a pregnant woman who bore an alarming resemblance to Kristen, to impersonate her when necessary, and Susan agreed to sell her baby to Kristen when it was born. Marlena became more and more suspicious that Kristen wasn't really pregnant, and talked to Laura about her suspicions. Later, Kristen was heart-broken when it seemed Peter had been murdered by Jack Deveraux. Kristen made the mistake of adjusting her pregnancy pad and being caught by Laura, but luckily, Peter and Stefano were on hand, and took her back to the mansion. Stefano wanted to take Laura out of the country, but Peter and Kristen convinced him to just wipe her memory clear for the last few days.
When Susan went into labor, Kristen was there disguised as a nurse so she could watch, but she got to see something else as well...John wanted to be married to the mother of his child before it was born, so Kristen had to sit and do nothing while John married Susan, whom he thought was Kristen. Susan handed over her son to Kristen, who was named John Black Jr., and left, but when she learned her baby had a heart defect, she returned, and asked for her baby back. Kristen convinced her that she and John would be the best parents for the child, but Susan began to lose it, and was convinced that she deserved to be John's wife and the full-time mother to her child. Susan threatened to expose Kristen, but Kristen told her that if she did, she would end up in jail, and John would always hate her. She did allow Susan to breast feed the baby (on doctor's orders), but when Susan started getting too close to the baby, she tried to get rid of her again. When John found the two women together, Kristen pretended she had hired Susan as the baby's nanny. Kristen asked Vivian and Ivan for help in locking Susan in a secret room, and when Marlena pieced the truth together, Kristen locked her in the secret room!
When Kristen learned that Laura had recovered her memory and was going to have Peter's coffin dug up to prove there was no body there, she made sure she got there first, and claimed that Peter had requested his body cremated. When Laura confronted Kristen, she broke down, thanks to drugs supplied by Kristen and Lynn Burke. When Susan began to worry about Marlena, Kristen told her that Stefano had kidnapped Marlena, and would do the same to her if she talked. Kristen stopped Susan from releasing Marlena by saying that John would hate them both and marry Marlena, so Susan began to impersonate Kristen in the role of John's wife, and locked both Kristen AND Marlena in the secret room. Kristen and Marlena were both forced to watch, and Kristen tried to dig her way out of the room to stop Susan and John's wedding, and ended up hitting a gas pipe, knocking out both her and Marlena. Luckily, they were rescued when Laura slapped Susan and knocked out the false teeth, prompting Susan to confess everything. Kristen and John were almost married when Marlena rushed in and told John about Kristen losing the baby and hiring Susan to impersonate her and give birth. Kristen then grabbed a gun and threatened to kill Marlena, but was stopped by John. Kristen was arrested, but soon released on bail.
Kristen crashed John and Marlena's engagement party at the Penthouse Grill, and became suicidal when she heard him propose to Marlena, but John managed to talk her down. Later, Kristen showed up at Marlena and John's wedding with Marlena's presumed dead ex-husband Roman. She convinced them Roman would be most comfortable in the mansion, and John and Kristen pretended to be married to allow Roman to think he had a chance with Marlena, whom he still loved. Later, Kristen and John went off to find the cure, meeting Dr. Rolf, who had the antidote. Unfortunately, the vial was broken, and John and Hope had to go off into the wilderness to get a new cure. Kristen and the others got back to Salem just in time to stop Marlena from marrying a dying Roman. But since any stress could kill Roman, John and Kristen had to continue to pretend they were married, and John moved back in with Kristen. When Roman saw problems between them, Kristen told him that another woman was trying to steal her man.
In 1997, Kristen answered the door at Jonesy's townhouse, and found Celeste there. In a battle, Kristen accidentally infected Celeste with the Jungle Madness disease. Stefano disowned her, and told her that when he got Elvis back (the name Susan had christened the baby with after getting him back, since she believed Elvis was his father...in reality it was Stefano in disguise) she wouldn't be allowed near him. This caused Kristen to go a little crazy, and Kristen tricked Susan into signing little Elvis over to her, but Stefano and John stole the baby back and returned her to Susan, who then impersonated Kristen at the courthouse (John delayed her) and said she wanted to return the baby to Susan. Kristen was furious, but couldn't do anything about it, as John and Marlena had already gotten Susan and Elvis out of the country. She got her revenge by telling Roman to go to the airport (knowing that John planned to propse to Marlena on his jet) so HE could propose to her, and discovered Marlena and John discussing how they were deceiving him. Kristen and Roman decided to fight for their loves, but when Roman learned that Kristen was now a liar and a schemer, he turned his back on her.
After Laura confronted Kristen in Salem Place about Peter, Kristen found Laura's Placiden, and used it to calm herself down. When Kristen broke into Marlena's penthouse, she found a fax Susan sent to Marlena, and she kidnapped Susan's sister, Sister Mary Moira, and told Susan to come to Salem, and bring the baby. Kristen drugged Susan, and was furious to learn that she hadn't brought the baby. She sold Susan into the harem for 'The Supreme Leader'. Susan had tipped Roman and Abe off ahead of time, and they were rushing to the airport to stop her when they got a report that Kristen had been found dead, so they believed the woman at the airport (Kristen) was actually Susan. They took her into the police station for questioning, where Susan's English boyfriend, Edmund Crumb, showed up. Thanks to him Kristen was released, and when Edmund proposed to 'Susan', Kristen accepted on her behalf, all the while terrified that if Susan was the dead woman, she would be charged with her murder. The coronor ruled the death a suicide (overdose), but Roman was convinced it was murder. When John found a suicide message from Kristen on the answering machine, he felt extremely guilty.
All of Salem turned up for Kristen's funeral, and Stefano had a heart attack after blaming the town for Kristen's death. After being released, he went to the cemetary and apologized for cutting Kristen out of little Elvis' life. Kristen, who was there, revealed herself to Stefano and begged him to help her get out of town, but he said it would look too suspicious. She was going to leave when Edmund brought both Elvis and his mother Violet to town. Kristen tried to drug Violet and sneak off with Elvis, but John found her and took her to the Penthouse Grill, where Edmund had arranged a surprise wedding. Kristen had to go through with it or risk exposure, and although she tried to escape Edmund, she couldn't and the two ended up on a honeymoon flight to Bermuda, after learning that Laura was arrested for Kristen's murder.
Before leaving, Kristen had left a note for Marlena from Susan, thanking her for all her help, including chocolates she knew Marlena liked, laced with penicillan, which Marlena was deathly allergic to. Belle was the one who ate them, but was saved by Roman. Meanwhile, on the plane, Edmund confessed that HE had killed Kristen, and rather than risk ending up dead if he found out who she was, she told him that when the plane landed, she was leaving, and he wasn't to follow. Once in Bermuda, Kristen and Edmund were surprised by Susan, who had escaped from the island and gotten to Bermuda with Violet's help. Susan exposed Kristen, and both Kristen and Edmund ended up wondering who actually died in the pool. Susan revealed that the dead body was actually a fourth Banks child, Penelope Kent (who had been given away as a child), who had come to Salem to help her, and told Edmund it wasn't his fault, as Penelope was dying anyway. To pay Kristen back for everything she did, Susan arranged for Kristen to take her place on the island. When Susan learned what had almost happened to Belle, she sent a message to Kristen on the island telling her that John and Marlena were engaged to be married. Kristen hasn't been seen or heard from since.
