Chrissy Ortner

Born in Melbourne, Australia and still hankering after sunshine and big waves, I have been lucky enough to be able to combine my  love of music with my wanderlust over the last seven years, touring with the 'Spacegoats'. On a magical mystery tour of 'Tribadelica' and stone circles, the Spacegoats journeyed across Europe and the Celtic Isles and recorded  the albums 'I3 Moons in Motion' and 'Tribadelica' in '94 and '97 with Dave Goodman at Mandala Studios. To highlight the inequalities of the Criminal Justice Bill we toured with the Velvet Revolution, playing  universities across the country and have performed Glastonbury Festival's Green Fields and the Big Green Gathering  each year on bicycle powered stages.

I sing and play didgeridoo, guitar, keyboards, recorders and African drums on our new album 'Into the Deep'

In '94 I helped form the Polarkin Project, recording and producing the four 'Tribal Voices' albums for Britain's eco-tribes; all artists doing their bit to save Mother Earth from wanton destruction.

Based in Brighton, I am currently performing at the Sanctuary Cafe's Creative Liquid.
