| Story: Like the original Fantasia (1940) this movies is made out of several musical pieces. The Disney artist used their imagination to make a story on that music. #1 Symphony No. 5 - Beethoven: An abstract story about good and bad, between darkness and light and between life and death. #2 Pines of Rome - Respighi: A group of whales is attracted to a mysterious light hig in the sky. They leave the ocean to fly the skies and to see what is above. #3 Rhapsody in Blue - Gershwin: New York during the 30's. Not everybody is happy with his of her live. But faith has it, that everybody finds it dream and become happy again. #4 Piano Concerto No. 2, Allegro, Opus 102 - Shostakovich: Based on the story The Steadfast Tin Soldier. He falls in love with the toy ballerina, but the evil Jack in the Box also fights for her. The Tin soldar falls into the sewers, but finds his way back to defeat the Jack in the Box and gets the love for his love. #5 Carnival of the Animals, Finale - Saint-Saëns: It's all about one question: What would happen if you give a jojo to a flock of Flamingos? #6 The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Dukas: Mickey mouse reprises his role as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. #7 Pomp and Circumstance, Marches - Elgar: The story is about Noach and his Arc. And about his helper, Donald Duck. On his own special way he puts the animals on board when the eart is flooding. But will he loose Daisy during the flood? #8 Firebird Suite, 1919 Version - Stravinsky: The story about live and death. A sprite brings spring to the forest, but a firebird in the volcano also awakend and tries to destroy the sprite. |
