Here are the two ticket stubs from the shows in East Troy, Wisconsin
and Chicago, Illinois. The East Troy show was held outside at the
Alpine Valley. To say the least, it was cold. Downright cold.
The temperature reached a low during the show of 28 degrees! It was
the coldest show Pearl Jam ever played. At least that's what Eddie
said and he doesn't usually fabricate. However Pearl Jam played and
played and didn't care about the coldness(for one thing, Eddie drank about
3 bottles of wine...that kept him warm). Bundled up in five to six
layers, Kevin, Jaime, and myself just sat back and relaxed. Now the
Chicago show?, that was a different story.
This is taken inside the parking lot before the East Troy concert looking
towards the sunset. The sun is deceiving. At this point, it
was already about 35 degrees! People kept warm the only way they
knew how....you know....beer!
This is of course Pearl Jam during the second show in Chicago.
I absolutely took the most wretched pictures. This is considered
my best picture. Hopefully my brother will have much better shots
of the band(he had a zoom lens while I had a throw away). We were
seventh row from the stage but you would not have guessed that from this
picture! It was an incredible show. You can read about in events.
Two pictures of the very, very, very, very, very tall Sears Tower building.
You know it's tall but you don't appreciate the size until you get up close
and personal. It's big to say the least. Kevin, Jaime and myself
traveled through the city of Chicago on Monday(Columbus Day) before the
second concert.
Here is the picture of the famous Loop. This is the brown line
portion of the elevated train. It goes from Diversey to downtown
Chicago.
Finally, the Chicago river. You really don't want to be swimming
in this river. It's pretty dirty and that is being nice. But
it is a very surreal scene, a river going right through a major city with
tall buildings on either side.
