Welcome to the Official MTR F1 Website! We are currently a team running in the GPTC Offline Racing League, which is a great place to show off your racing skills and gain new friends.

We managed to finish 4th in the Constructors Championship last season, and now, with the help of Nintendo (main sponser) and BMW (engine supplier) we are aiming to finish higher and make a challenge for both titles in 2003. The driving force of myself and Dan Lawrence will provide the brain behind the wheels, so 2003 is going to be a cracker! See you all on the grid!

Superb Victory for MTR and Morrison Down Under
(Posted 5th December 2002)

In a high-drama season opener at a sun-scorched Albert Park, Scotland's Ally Morrison scored a perfect 10 for MTR-BMW. Also, England's Dan Lawrence earned a valuable 3 points with 6th position in his first Grand Prix, which put MTR joint top of the constructors championship along with SSR. Australia's Jeff Milgate was 13 seconds behind Morrison in second, while Finland's Mikko Jakonen finish 3rd another 17 seconds adrift. Morrison said after the race,

"It is great to finally be on the top step of the podium after so long! Great job by the team, the setup was perfect and everything just ran smoothly. Malaysia will be rather interesting, as it is not my favourite circuit, so we'll see how things turn out."

We also caught up with Dan Lawrence, who was in a cheerful mood,

"I am quite happy at being in the points in my first grand prix for the team, despite a few hiccups and a set of bad tyres in the last stint. It's a points finish, so I am pleased nevertheless. I am hoping that Sepang will be a different story, and I will hopefully finish higher than today."

Round 2 at Sepang in Malaysia promises to be packed full of excitement, so stay tuned to find out what's in store!

Morrison qualifies pole for pre-season race
(Posted 6th November 2002)

MTR driver Ally Morrison put the car on pole position for Sunday's race with a truly remarkable pole lap of 1m 21.944secs. GPTC newcomer Jeff Milgate will line up beside Morrison, with Mikko Jakonen 3rd. With a lap set in the dying seconds of the qualifying hour, Morrison managed to pip Milgate by almost half a second.

"I am delighted to put the car on pole-position for the race. Today the true raw power of the BMW engine was demonstrated, and our challenge, which starts in Australia soon, is looking much brighter."

The other MTR car, driven by Dan Lawrence, suffered with a technical glitch, which put him down to 17th on the grid.

"To be honest, I know I could be alongside Ally on the front row, but the car played a few tricks on me, which forced me just to put in a lap which would get me on the grid. I am highly optimistic about the race, and I hope to be in the points come the end of it."
