WELCOME to TECA1354 online - SummerI 2005. This is a fast-paced course that will require you to stay up-to-date with your assignments and requirements.
Unlike the TECA1354 this past spring, you will not be required to do an internship, but you will have additional Lab Observation assignments.
Because teachers are held to a higher standard, great emphasis is placed on communication skills. Often how you say it is as important as what you say. For this reason, grammar and composition are very important. Your grade on written work will reflect this. I have provided rules to which you can refer, and Tyler Junior College has a wirting lab available to all students. You are encouraged to avail your self of both services. Click on the Writing Rule link on the leftt of the page for help.
Students are expected to read the book, turn in assignments the day they are due, write correctly and stay in touch with the instructor. If assignments are going to be late, the student must inform the instructor and give a reason. By doing this, the instructor may accept the late work. There may be points deducted for lateness.
The instructor may refer a student to the writing lab if the quality of the writing is not acceptable. Students may redo work if the grade is below a B or with written permission from the instructor. The revised assignments are due within five calendar days after permission is given. Please do not ask for an extention beyond that time. |
