The Star 31/3/00 - Dijaya Corp Bhd proposes to acquire for RM13.3mil cash a 70% stake in an Internet casino operator (Diva Gold International Ltd) which caters for the Asian region. The online casino which is slated to start operations next month, is expected to generate revenues within a month and be profitable within its first year. Its wholly-owned Gema Investments Ltd had entered into an agreement to buy the stake. Diva Gold plans to target key markets in Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. It has been appointed by Atlantic Gaming Ltd to manage the business operations of its offshore licensed online casino known as Atlantic Caino for the Sian region. The internet casino was developed by Boss Media AB, a firm listed on the STockholm stock exchange.

The Star 4/3/00 - Dijaya Digital Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dijaya Corp Bhd (DIC), is acquiring the entire stake of 100,000 shares of HK$1 in Gema Investments Ltd from Terbit Berkat Sdn Bhd, another wholly-owned subsidiary of DIC, thus making Gema Investments Ltd a direct wholly-owned unit of Digital. Gema Investments, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, is proposed to be renamed Dijaya dotCom. Ventures Ltd. Dijaya dotCom will make strategic investments, enter into strategic alliances or participate in Internet-related business overseas. Digital, through Dijaya dotCom, also has identified Internet gaming as its maiden venture and is negotiating to acquire 70% interest in a foreign company which is finalising its business arrangements pertaining to the operation and promotion of an offshore licensed Internet casino for the Asia region.

The Star 11/3/00 - Airport, UDA and Litrak are included whereas CSM, Farlim and Pilecon are excluded as component stocks of KLSE CI.

 Sunrise

 The Star 3/3/00 - Sunrise Bhd expects pre-tax profit to grow by about 20% for its financial year to June 30, 2000, said chief executive officer Michael Yam. He said that going by the 37% jump in pre-tax profit from RM18mil to RM24.7mil in the first half of the financial year, the group was optimistic of performing "comfortably". Yam said Sunrise still had about 50 acres left at its Mont' Kiara condominium village which would keep the company busy for the next five years. This year the company planned to launch four condominium projects in Mont' Kiara, having a total sales value of about RM300mil.

The Star 11/3/00 - Airport, UDA and Litrak are included whereas CSM, Farlim and Pilecon are excluded as component stocks of KLSE CI. 

The Star 6/3/00 - EPS for 1999(unaudited) is 15 sen down from 15.21 sen in 1998. EPS forecast for 2000 is 11.10 sen.
