Player Characters | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Hunter- Character Sheet Player: Soppy Theme: Battle and Entertainment (Wild Arms: Alter Code F) Full Name: Hunter Sopko Age: 22 Nation of Origin: Pernolde Having been tricked by Mab, and subsequently captured, Hunter's life has taken a turn for the worse. Refusing her technology as a gift, it was forced upon him in a dramatic surgery that not only cost him parts of his body, but part of his mind as well. Now Hunter is mistrusted by the whole of the party, and it seems that even his lovers, Arianna and Leatanna have forsaken him as a "puppet of Mab." Is he really though? Or does he yet remain the same Hunter who started out on this quest, and the same one who refused to give up no matter what happened to him? Or is he just some monstrosity created for the pleasure of Mab? He seems to remain as formidable as ever though, his combat prowress further enhanced by his biomechanical upgrades and new knowledge. The twin swords that could shred the flesh of all but the most dangerous of his foes can now shred anything. Whether he will prove a valuable ally or a deadly foe though... that remains to be determined |

Aria- Character Sheet Player: Andrew Theme: Aria de Mezzo Carte (FF3/6)/All the World In One Girl (Super Metroid Remix) Full Name: Arianna "Lanathan" Age: 17 Nation of Origin: Gelendar Once again Arianna managed to pass from the mortal coil, sacrificing herself to block the explosion designed to kill Verity and, if it was necessary, the whole of the Yaravon Raid Team. However, she awoke, back at home, as if nothing had ever happened, facing a confusing three day quest before she learned from Nellix that, following her death, she had created the world for herself unconciously. She refused to remain in the world though, unwilling to accept it, despite the fact that it was hers, instead choosing to return to the Amaryllis from which she hailed, with the aid of Nellix. Her convictions to protect the people she cares about have grown stronger in the face of all that has happened, as has, no matter how dangerous it may seem, her own will. However, considering she culminated her love for Hunter by offering to kill the newly modified and (by her words) "puppet," one must wonder if the pressures are finally pushing Aria too far |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Zao- Character Sheet Player: Dark Japheth Theme: Someday (DJ Mystik) Full Name: Isawa Zao-Lot Age: 19 Nation of Origin: Nagukor Following the disaster in the WNL, Zao still chooses to remain with the party, believing wholly in the goodness of what they are trying to do. His sharp mind and uncanny magical talents (especially in the area of illusions) have already proven a valuable asset to the party, and will no doubt continue to do such. More important though, is his demeanor, capable of lightening even the darkest of times with a small joke or dashing smile. How long though, until he has to face the fate that awaits him in Nagukor? One of love and violence... one of fighting for his beliefs... one of learning to listen when someone's parents warn you about pre-marital sex. And how long until he gets tired of being the one who has to carry Aria's body when she dies? LOSE SOME WEIGHT |

Aurelia- Character Sheet Player: Staci Theme: Threshold (Slayer) Full Name: Aurelia Liadon Age: 124 (?) Nation of Origin: Cormyr Wife of Verity and god-hating (mostly) Ur-Priest extrodinaire, Aurelia remains with the party, even after the failed attempt to free her husband! Weilding powerful magic, and the love for her husband, Aurelia has no intention to allow Whittyre to hold him any longer, even if it means the occasional Dominate Person. Still, Aurelia is a powerful ally who possess exceptional capabilities magically, martially and mentally, as long as she maintains her poise. However, with all the mysteries surrounding her husband's abduction, the mysteries with his would be rescuers, and just generally the mysteries that face her, it will be a difficult task. Of course, the question remains: With the raid failed, and her husband augmented and her now being the one captured... what is she going to do |

Verity- Character Sheet Player: Kirk Theme: I Stand Alone (Godsmack or something <_<) Full Name: Verity Liadon (formerly Dalliant) Age: 28 Nation of Origin: Cormyr Finally! Verity is free from his horrible stasised prison! Between the efforts of our intrepid heroes (sorta) and the whim of Mab (mostly) he has been freed to do things again! However, his freedom was not without cost. In exchange for being let out, he was forced to go undergo augmentation with Whittyre's bio-tech. Unlike Hunter though, he weighed his options carefully and was, as a result, allowed to maintain apprent free will. The question stands though. The world-breaking, Excalibur weilding, cyber-ninja is free. What is he going to do next? Return to a peaceful farm life with his wife? Or return to his havoc wrecking ways? Only time will tell |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Bandon- Character Sheet Player: Kirk Theme: - Full Name: - Age: 19 Nation of Origin: - Bandon... saves the day?! In the face of the failure of the Yaravon Raid, Bandon quickly seized control, risking life and further employment at the WNL. The result? The pacifistic cleric managing to elicit surrenders from everyone and their removal from the Labs without Mab harming them. However, time is running short for Bandon to decide what to do with the group, including the woman he loved, Arianna. Should he return them to Mab? Or should he help them escape or survive and aid them in their quest once again? His sweet ways have softened Mab though... is it possible for him to teach the seemingly cruel and sadistic woman of love and caring again? Or will his efforts fall short, despite his worldwide fame for being able to make women feel love like they never have before |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Lea- Character Sheet Player: Soppy Theme: Hack (Outlaw Star) Full Name: Leatanna Scarlett Age: 22 Nation of Origin: Pernolde Cat-Girl and Yaravon employee! Lover and childhood friend of Hunter! Exceptionally pissed off! Learning of Hunter's antics with the bomb before his bio-tech-ing, Lea is, needless to say, quite unhappy with him. For that matter, she's pretty angry at Mab too. And Bandon. Potentially Aria and Zao as well. Being on of the top employees at Yaravon, Lea is, needless to say, a very dangerous woman. Will the unbridled rage of a Cat-Woman spurned prove the fall of Whittyre? Or will it burn out in the face of the seemingly unsurmountable opposition. Or hey, maybe she'll just explode at the party |

Important NPCs | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The Honorable (Kinda) Marquis Vincent Dela Rosa Vincent was quite the dashing young man, back in the day, heir to his family's modest fortune and estate. Then his wife died and his daughter grew sick, and no medicine or magic could cure her. After spending much of his money and time attempting to find a cure for Marion's sickness (while remaining there to comfort her, of course) Rosa began to delve into alchemy himself to try and find an answer. At last, one of the trading companies he'd kept contacts with delivered a letter to him from some researcher, which told him to use the blood of strange creatures called Hunters, and a crystal rose in the possession of one Queklain. Rosa tracked Queklain around, but Queklain was killed by Hunters, and the rose fell into the hands of one young man named Hunter Sopko. The Marquis hastily contacted Hunter and his friends, who also happened to have a Hunter-creature's finger. He offered them the remainder of his assets for the trinkets, but Sopko refused. His choice clear, Vincent promptly paralyzed Hunter, snatched the rose, and took it back to his mansion along with Hunter's companion Aria, who promised him the creature finger if he was truly using it for his daughter. Even as he finished the elixir that would cure little Marion, though, Hunter Sopko and his company broke into Rosa's manor. For all of about two seconds before the guards tackled them. One of the ruffians almost spilled the irreplaceable mixture, and it took all of Vincent's will to not slay him on the spot.... but there were more important things to be done. The potion was administered to Marion, while Aria watched, and only then did Rosa turn to revenge his honor on these callous fiends who had invaded his house. But lo! Just as he was about to put his consideable skill as a fencer to use, Marion appeared in the doorway of the duelling room, and refused to go back to bed. Things went disastrously wrong, and his darling daughter wound up splattering Nash all over the walls with inhuman strength, then running through the mansion - literally - and hiding herself. When she was finally found on the top floor, she refused to listen to her father or anyone else, and lept out the roof and away. Hunter and his friends then attempted to blame Vincent for this, and that was just the last straw. Along with his trusty bodyguard Jorim, and the rest of the staff, Dela Rosa fought and knocked out the entire crew of thugs, stripped them naked, appropriated their gear, tied them to poles and beat them with sticks. The sole exception was Aria, who had actually behaved in a somewhat human manner and not dishonored herself; true to his word, Vincent gave her back the crystal rose and her possessions and sent her back to Asgard by carriage. Taking the best equipment they had, Vincent and Jorim then set out to find Marion, and tracked her through the wilderness for a considerable time. They followed her to an underground colony of monks, where a Yarovan Eliminator Squadron met them at the entrance, claiming they were looking for Marion too. ...to capture her. ...accusing her of strings of murders and other such things. Vincent had no tolerance for this betrayal from the Yarovan, who after all had given him the formula that kicked all this off in the first place. He and Jorim cut a swath through the squadron with their skills in swordsmanship, striking down experienced fighters with ease. Their blades, which had been dipped in the remainder of the Hunter-potion, seemed to cut through all armors and create lethal, burning wounds. Incidentally, Vincent had also coated Aria's guisarme with this mixture, out of thanks and sheer irony. After their delay here, Vincent and Jorim were unable to catch Marion in the labyrinth of underground tunnels. For an innocent colony of monks, the place was downright deadly and confusing... It was filled with strange noises, doors that led nowhere or back into the same room, mazes, and... other things. Vincent and Jorim met up with none other than Hunter Sopko and friends again, down in the tunnels! When they were again rude and hostile, Vincent set out to finish what he'd started, but the group escaped him again. Marion, it seemed, had left the place in the midst of their wanderings and fighting, and finding her was of the utmost importance. Yet her father always seemed one step behind, eventually arriving at a cave in a thunderstorm - just before the cave collapsed, with Marion inside, and a host of magical flashes. Vincent scoured the rubble and kept watch for days, but nothing emerged. In grief, he stalked back to the nearest city, and found out that the cave had been Verity's lair - and Verity was being aided by Hunter Sopko, again. So again he went on the chase, and followed Hunter in the town and Verity down into the Church of Christ. Everyone claimed that they weren't responsible for what happened. Of course. And even after promising they would, nobody showed up to speak with him and duel him at the time they set. Of course. Vincent returned to the cave site, in a final search for answers....... and apparently found them. He turned up later on, much calmer and more friendly, at Aria's house (after she had mistaken Jorim for an old friend and babbled much to him over lunch). Vincent there claimed to have spoken with Nellix... and was most interested in finding Verity and learning about 'Asmodeus' and where Verity's portal had led to. He warned the party that a great number of people wanted Verity dead, and were searching for him - including Aria's father Tarin. Whom Vincent was also searching for. After leaving Aria's house, Vincent and Jorim have not been heard from, although several mobs of angry people showed up at Verity's house claiming to have been told the way there by him |

Brother Joseph of Gabriel Bro Joe, as he has been called, is an almost stereotypical priest of Gabriel. Or, 'priest', given that he's much more inclined to dispense advice over a few drinks than over the altar. Joe's been a good friend to the party since the beginning, drinking with them, bailing them out of jail, listening to them when they're confused and helping sort things out. He also knows Bandon from way back in the day. Joe has a fine passion for the good things in life, and great tolerance for informality. He also likes to throw down in the occasional bar brawl |

Adept Kirk Voegtlin Although he is purported to be one of the most powerful mages in the world, or at least in Asgard, the Adept is nonetheless quite insane. He spends quite a bit of time talking and gaming with his old buddy King Ethan. The Adept has retained his considerable skill in wizardry, but to get him to use it for any meaningful end is another matter entirely... though he does have his lucid moments, which are occasionaly rather frightening. Exactly how he lost his sanity is something only he knows - Voegtlin went on a journey one day, told nobody where to, and returned as he is now. When questioned, he merely laughs and makes lewd comments about girls. The most popular theory is that he got his heart broken by some scurrilous lass, and did something regrettable with his magic out of sorrow. Or anger. If this speculation has any bearing on the truth, however, it is slim at best, for nobody has ever confirmed it, and the Adept claims to have been 'saving' this girl |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Jaypheth The.... creature... known as Jaypheth is an oddity even for Amaryllis; he looks human enough save for his head, which is one giant, unblinking red and black eye. Jaypheth tops this off with a classy hat, suit, and gloves (such that nothing more of his flesh can actually be seen) and frequents bars and arenas, where he partakes of unarmed combat. And man, does he excel at unarmed combat. It's unclear whether the ludicrous strength behind his punches and backhands is a trait of his race, or him alone - but in either case, it's clear that there are few who can box him. Besides his love of pugilism and his unerring politeness, Jaypheth is also known for, well, knowing - he accrues quite the treasure trove of gossip and news in his travels, and is willing to share it with friends. Or those who'll pay. Although some might call this unethical, there's not yet been one such who cared to say it to Jaypheth's fa- er, eye |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Tarin Husband of Miss Jess, father of Arianna. Tarin lives with his family in a comfortable house in the suburbs of Gelendar. His job obviously pays handsomly, but he's always called it rather boring. It now seems that he is in fact a general of the Gelendar military, and a rather influential one at that. He has argued in favor of helping Aria and her friends on their travels, over protests from his colleagues. Tarin sensed that Aurelia was a traitor, and after a rather violent confrontation with Aria over it, he left and was not seen again by his family until returning home recently. He has always taken a very logical, but calm, approach to problems, showing Aria the best things to do instead of just telling her, but allowing her considerable freedom. Although he has been assigned to stop her if things go badly, Tarin has sworn not to lay a hand on Aria, perhaps with regret about their earlier fight |

William Sopko Hunter's father has worked for the Yarovan for a great deal of his life, and has accrued considerable success therein, enough to make him THE delegate Yarovan sent to the all-important Whittyre negotiations. Hunter's 'youthful fighting spirit' is probably inherited, as Will has been known to act the same way even now. However, he's taken his wife's death rather hard - although it doesn't often show. Currently, Will is trying to balance out his duties to his company and his old friend Leonard with his duties to his son - he's been quite upset after a series of mishaps led to him killing Aria. Will is the current owner of the Sopko house, which is more of a mansion complete with several servants. Among these are Micheal, the butler (and one of Will's most trusted friends), and the newly hired gnome chef Pepito |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Leonard Goldskin Leonard Goldskin, current CEO of the Yarovan Trading Company, is an old fuddy duddy dwarven grandfather. He is also a shrewd businessman, a brilliant strategist (though not in the military sense) and one of the Ten Sounding Pillars, a covert organization devoted to stopping Whittyre from overthrowing the current world order. Leonard takes his duties very seriously, and his personal safety even more seriously after his predecessor in office suffered a sudden heart attack. At the age of 38. After working out every day. Though he often is forced to actions he dislikes to maintain security, Leonard is not without a heart, and has taken what others might see as some serious risks. In recent times, he's delivered Melanie Sopko's letter, allowed Will and Hunter to keep working for him (or resume, in Hunter's case), allowed Aria to go on her way despite her being a massive risk... Still, he seems to love his job. It might have something to do with the fact that when he's not dealing with secret organizations and assassination attempts, Yarovan is one of the most profitable companies in the world |

Miss Mab A sweet young lady who works for the Whittyre National Labs. Supposedly. Mab acts as a counselor/interrogator for people who need it, like Hunter and Jerriford. Will and Leonard tell it differently - they've heard about a "Miss Mab" who is the leader of the Labs, or at least very high in the chain of command there |
