John Esbury Presented to Court Leet by Town Jury for laying dung in the street before his door. To be removed by 5th Nov on penalty of 5s also the Trustees paid him 16s.6d for Gurgeons (coarse refuse of flour) for pigs Edward Esbury was paid 1-01-00 for a rug he supplied to the Workhouse.

Being sick and weak of body but of sound and disposing mind, I leave To my wife Sarah for her lifetime and then to my granddaughter Sarah Arlott daughter of Thomas Arlott of Box in the County of Wilts, by my daughter Sarah the tenures of houses occupied by Edward Harowole, Sarah Blake, William Jones, Abigail Maisey and John Bamford. To my daughter Mary Plummer, wife of Henry Plummer of Kemble in County of Wilts, 50 pounds. I appoint my wife Sarah and daughter Sarah Arlott joint exectrix. Signed in the presence of Harry Benson and John Purnell Will of Sarah Esbury 1748/79 Sarah Esbury, widow, made her will 4 Nov 1746 and it was Proved 30 May 1748 To my granddaughter Sarah Arlott, one gold ring. To my neice Sarah wife of John Smith of Malmesbury, the residue of my estate, and appoint her my Executrix.
