During this amazing night out at Set, the superstar Thalia and her label EMI Televisa had a great party for the press and a group of her fans. Thalia was celebrating her incredible performance of her new single “Ten Paciencia” at Premio Juventud and the release of her new CD “Lunada”. Thalia arrived at the red carpet looking exquisite followed by her husband Tommy Mottola. She spoke to the press, posed for pictures, also did interviews with television and then proceeded to the VIP Section where she partied for a while before ending her night.

On Octomber 14, 2008 "Casita Maria"(Charitable organization) awarded Thalia with the prestigious Gold Medal of Honour for her outstanding humanitarian, philanthropic and cultural contibutions to the community at large and to the Hispanic community in particular, at it's 75th Annual Fiesta Gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City.
The same day Thalia was the guest of honor (invited by Police Commissioner Rey Kelly) at en event that is held every year by the New York Police Department(NYPD) at it's headquarters in 1 Police Plazato to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, where she also received an award.

>>"Lunada" was the last album realeased by EMI Music. Thalia’s last album was a major disappointment, and she blames the lack of marketing for it due to the fact that she was just returning from having a baby and had a problem with her health.
Thalia on November 18, 2008, announced that quits her contract with EMI. Thalia recognized that her latest realease wasn't successful due to the lack of promotion and some personnal problems as her illness from lyme disease. Despite it's commercial failure, Thalia stated that she's proud of this album saying that the production and the quality of Lunada was excellent.
"Aventurero" finally never released as a single since Thalia canceled her contract with EMI.
After 14 successful years under the label of EMI Music (Thalia recorded 12 albums and accomplished sales over 20 millions of copies) Thalia moves to Casablanca Records ( part of Universal Music Group) in order to release her next project...

NEW ALBUM IN DECEMBER 2009

>>Primera fila is the first Live CD/DVD album by the Mexican singer-songwriter Thalía. This album was recorded in Miami, Florida at the BankUnited Center on July 30, 2009, with a selected audience to attend the unplugged concert. Primera fila will be her first project under her new label Sony Music. The album is set to be released on December 2009.
