Nintendo Gamecube

"...The NINTENDO GAMECUBE focuses on gameplay and is "the ultimate TV game machine and the first of its kind."

The Nintendo 64 was a highly advanced piece of hardware. However, because it had such superior capabilities, developers probably felt as if it was a "challenge" for them to produce for it. Because of this, along with complicating software development, N64 gained a reputation of being a difficult system on which to develop games.

Additionally, in response to the demand for new types of entertainment from users in the game trade, the scale of games became larger, and frequently special adjustments to software had to be made. This came back to haunt the developers in the form of development costs and it would not be an exaggeration to say that it made software development more challenging.
This type of problem, if not solved, could have a dramatic effect on the success of the game business.

We here at Nintendo decided to focus on solving this issue by creating the NINTENDO GAMECUBE with the purpose of realizing the highest level of performance and to enhance the productivity of software development. This is Nintendo's vision of what a next generation game machine should do.

Instead of going for the highest possible performance, which does not contribute to software development, our idea was to create a developer-friendly next generation TV game machine that maintained above-standard capabilities.

In order to accomplish this, we have painstakingly removed the "bottlenecks" which hinder an efficient system. We have introduced 1T-RAM technology, which has a minimum of delays, into the main memory and the Graphics LSI Mixed Memory. Also, secondary cache memory with a large capacity was implemented in the MPU. With this combination we have succeeded at creating reliable functionality that can be used with actual games.

We have been creating a world in which the player can enjoy the feeling of actually touching the "world" created by the software. In addition, the player can benefit by building a bond with the game and characters in it.

The NINTENDO GAMECUBE will carry on the "DNA" of Nintendo games and give birth to a new kind of entertainment that surpasses existing concepts of what great gaming is.

NINTENDO GAMECUBE will launch in North America on November 18, 2001."  - Nintendo

Promotion - 10-9-01

Today I was trying to get my site promoted so I could get "hits" and I was talking to this guy about joining his "Affiliates".  He said in-order for me to be an affiliate and get promotion from his site I have to be already getting 250 hits a day.  So, in other words, to get ppl to my site I have to be already getting ppl to my site?  Does that make sense to you?  It sure as hell doesn't make any sense to me.  That is not fair to younger sites who are trying to get started.  Why couldn't he just put up my "button" so ppl can come to my site?  How much work would that be?  I'm thinking he is scared of competition.  I know this article will be pissing people off but I want them to know that 250 hit a day thing is bullshit and if they will not help promote my site, then, to hell with them.  I'm sorry but if someone came to me and personally asked me to put their button on my site I would do it.  It shows that they like your site.   Maybe he doesn't see it that way.  Anyway, if you would like to help promote my site e-mail me.

Some Brief History of The Dragonball Series

Dragonball

After the ending of Akira's Dr. Slump, Dragonball was released.  The new Anime series was mainly toward the younger viewers with the blend of comedy and violence.  After several episodes, violence was mainly the  theme.  Afterward, the series Dragonball was replaced by the much upgraded Dragonball-Z.

In the begining there were three main series in Dragonball,  The Pilaf Series, The Red Ribbon Series, and The Piccolo/Daimao Series.  The show starts out with young Goku battling villians then reaching adulthood and the marriage with Chi-Chi.

Dragonball-Z

Dragonball-Z is the sequel to Dragonball.  This time, the show is mainy  toward teenage viewers with the extreme violence and small amount of comedy entered into the series.  Dragonball-Z was the last of the Dragonball series that Akira produced.  Dragonball-Z is divided into four series, The Vegeta Series, The Freiza Series, The Cell Series, and The Buu Series. During each series, the Z-Fighters reach new serious development and reach new power levels.

Dragonball-GT

Dragonball-GT (Grand Tour) is the last of the Dragonball series.  Its theme is a combination of Dragonball and Dragonball-Z where comedy and violence are blended together.  Dragonball-GT is mainly focused on Goku as he is accidently wished back into a kid by Pilaf.

Update - 10-12-01

Miss Alicia Keys graces the cover of next months cover of Rolling Stones. The cover was shown last night on David Letterman where the sexy soul singer performed her new hit "A Woman's Worth". Her debut album, Songs In A Minor has already sold an amazing 3 million copies. Do I smell a Lauryn Hill Grammy sweep for this young lady ?

The bootylicious Beyonce` Knowles, lead singer of Destiny's Child, has snatched a role in Austin Powers 3. Destiny's Child themselfs are taking a break as a group though. Their all doing solo projects. The first comes from Michelle Williams. She's doing a Gospel. The album will also include the Gospel Medley that was featured on Destiny's Child platinum album Survivor. Beyonce and Kelly have solo albums in the work but nothing is for sure with them yet.

Hey whatever happened to those little girl who use to run around TRL ? you ask. Well if your referring to the 3 Little Women of 3LW their on their way back onto the scene. Their album Same Game, Different Rules is set for a December release. The ladies also have a Pepsi commercial in the works. Look out for big things with these girls in the neat future.

That's the news for this week but until next week keep it real. - Fearless
