So, I Wanted To Be a Hero. . .

I've been almost diguistingly obsessed with the Quest for Glory games for just about as long as I can remember. My older brother would get them from a friend of his and sit in our dark basement for hours playing them. A great treat would be when he'd let me perch nearby, watching over his shoulder in amazement as he battled brigands, rescued damsels in distress, and solved mysteries quite beyond my own intellegence at the time.

After he stopped playing them, my sister took the place of the one I'd watch--for I didn't  have enough courage to play them by myself. But when she played, we only had game two, "Trial By Fire," along with the hint book. Our computer broke down and we never did make it to Rasier, but oh how fun it was to watch in horror as she narrowly dodged Elementals and strange desert creatures.

Eventually she wouldn't play them, and I was left to having no Hero's Quest, or learning to play it myself. I did, and it was incredible. I only had them for a breif time, though, before our computer caught a virus and the game was lost, much to my sorrow. Imagine my delight when my brother presented me with a disk containing all four games--games 3 and 4 I had not even been aware of--as well as a demo for Quest for Glory V! I sat down and played the first three straight through in a few weeks, stunned all over again by the rich playing quality of these games and laughing once more at the wonderful Sierra "silly clowns" I'd missed in other, far more serious games.

Although my computer has let to allow me the joy of playing Quest for Glory IV, I couldn't contain my excitement at having them once more and decided to make a website in tribute to the three I have played. So, enjoy this life-long obsession of mine, and remember I'm adding screen shots and more information all the time, so bookmark the site and keep coming!
