The Actors' Guild leave Lambert Hall

The Actors' Guild was asked  to leave Lambert Hall by June 1,2004 by the Garden City Council.  The Actors' Guild had called Lambert Hall home for 6 years.  Due to the needs of the City, the space was no longer available.  The Guild is currently looking for a new space for the theatre and storage of their sets, props, and costumes.

The Actors' Guild had been in operation for 9 years and had produced a wide variety of entertainment.  The Guild was the only local theatre group which challenged their actors to work with Shakespeare and new plays as well as tried and true favorites.  The Guild also provided learning activities in Acting, Directing, and Set Design.

The board of directors, would like to thank Garden City for all their help in the past.

"The move comes (came) at a difficult time for the theatre," states Ed Britt, Artistic Director, "as we are just beginning to rebuild our audience after 9-1-1 and the economic downturn of the last two years.  We hope the people who have enjoyed our performances in the past will want to see us continue and will supply both financial and spiritual support."

For more information or to keep abreast of the theatre, call our ticket line, 859-7964, or keep checking online.  The Guild will keep these places updated.
We are still looking for a building to move into that is cheap, and that we can remodel, in the Boise-Meridian area.  Please contact Ed Britt at 323-8431 if you know of one or have any information.
