Crochet: I started crocheting when I was young, but I picked it up again when Christopher was born. I designed the pattern below like a cross-stitch pattern, then worked out the number of stitches required to complete a square, so the pattern would be uniform on both sides of the blanket. It worked out nicely.I like using acrylic baby worsted yarn, because it stays soft and is an easy weight to work with. There are some very vibrant colors available, now, too, as you can see.
