Ok, a little explanation I guess...
Last week, I'm driving home from work down 1960, hmmm *for all non-Houstonians*, FM 1960 is a street, four lanes, extremely busy, almost like a high way, lots of lights, speed limit 45 but everyone goes 50-55 mph.... got it? Kewl.
And there's a lady walking a cradle across the street. Yes, a cradle, apparently with something in it as she keeps looking in. Now, I understand that maybe, she Just HAD to get to something on the other side. It is very dangerous but there are crosswalks at every light. However, she is going in the middle of the STREET!!
Idiot.
Now, this maybe bad enough, and she maybe has a real need to go this way, I understand.... but the worst was on the way.
She had more kids.
Not kids walking close to mom and looking for cars...
Not kids in her arms...
Not kids walking in front of her so she could at least see them as they crossed the street.
No, kids running around playing tag or something as they made their way in the same general direction as she was going.
And cars were about 100 ft away...
Two kids, around 5 and 7 years, just running around and across one of the busiest streets in Houston with mom oblivious to their location. Why did part of me think hopeful lawsuit? Maybe I'm sick *coughs* but maybe she's hoping someone DOES hit one of her kids? Or is she just seriously stupid?
With all of the people wishing they could have children, and so many willing to adopt, why are the stupid ones so often having children?
Traffic had to actually slow down for them, and I saw at least two near accidents...
You know if someone DID hit her kids she'd have a huge "outrage" and try to milk them for all they had for her "loss" yet here she is, calmly walking across and not paying attention.
It scares me.
I was half thinking of running across myself and picking those kids up and running them across....
Stupid of me, non?
