| The
French New Wave is an indie rock band from Oshkosh, WI. Their style
is something we like to call "mathy slow-core hyperness". The New
Wave features an all-star class of Oshkosh rockers: Luke from This Bright
Apocalypse, Aaron from Por Avion, Todd M.O.H.E and a guy named Dan.
They hold their own ground in the scene with their unique blend of emotional
rock, mathy arrangements and catchy melodies. Not to mention they
are pretty tasty hunks of man-ness!!!
The French New Wave formed in late 1999 when Todd had heard some songs that Aaron had written on guitar and asked him if he wanted to start a side project. Aaron agreed. They soon got college buddies Dan and Kevin to play bass and drums, respectively. They started to jam but things weren't working out with Kevin so Aaron's roommate Luke replaced him on drums. That's where they stand now... The following individuals have served as guest bass players at one point or another: Adam (This Bright Apocalypse), Michael (Sault Ste. Marie and No Karma Records fame) and Stephen (Por Avion). The
