#18 Lulea Wildcats (Pilsner)

The Lulea Wildcats are an up and coming group with a manger who is hungry for success.  Early in the IICC, these Wildcats stunned the world with a victory over the #1 ranked Warriors.  Not only did the big win give the Nordic teams a wake up call, but it caused the rest of the teams in the IICC to take notice as it is a rare site to see the legendary Warriors on the losing side of the scoreboard.  The Wildcats are still hungry and look to satisfy their appetite with an IICC.  Will they be able to continue their "Giant Killing" habits or will they succomb to their fellow Nordics?  Only time will tell.  No doubt the Wildcats' future looks very promising and should lead to a good chunk of glory years.

Coach Says: (actually his words)
Lulea Wildcats originates from a town in northern Sweden that goes by the name (yepp you guessed it) Lulea. Actually the 'a' should be an 'aring;' instead but since most of the world doesn't recognise it I just used an 'a' instead. The Wildcats part of the name comes from the very fact that I like cats, and that there are some wildcats of the type 'lynx' up here in the north. And since an other famous (real) hockey team up here call themselves Lulea Bears, it seemed quite fitting and it also matched the shirts we got from SLH. A name change is imminent, since we've recently recruited bass players for all positions, so in the future you might know us as Bass Pale Ale instead, if the board accepts it.
Team Name Origin: (his words again)
Since I took care of the team around 2004 (SLH-time) we've climbed steadily in the league system. This trend will continue until we reach the premier division. Wildcats are not to be played with, and although sometimes lazy and uninterested, the claws and teeth are always present. We have a broad team were anyone can prove to be the decisive part in a game and Wildcats can beat anyone, but only be beaten by a few (probably by all teams in the IICC though).
