Iggy International Championship Cup
Each regional division will consist of 5 teams.
Each conference will consist of 10 teams.

Divisional Play

Each team will send out a challenge ONLY to the other teams in their own division.  This will result in 8 games for each team in each divsion.

After completing the 8 divisional games, the top 2 seeded teams will face off against each other in a best of 3 series.
To win this series, a team must win 2 games out of the possible 3.  This means it will be possible for a team to sweep the series 2-0, therefore making the 3rd game unnecessary.

Conference Finals

The winner of the divisional best of 3 series will advance to their conference finals and will take on the winner from their conference's other division in a best of 5 series.  This means it will be possible for a team to sweep the series 3-0, therefore making games #4 and #5 unnecessary.

Iggy International Championship Cup Finals

The winners of each conference's best of 5 series will face off in the I.I.C.C best of 5 finals.  The winner will claim the I.I.C.C.

Other Info

Home Ice Advantage

When two teams meet in the play-offs, the teams with the better overall record will earn home ice advantage.  This means they will get to issue the challenge for the 1st game.  They will also issue challenges for the 3rd and 5th games should they be necessary.  The teams WITHOUT home ice advantage will get to issue challenges for the 2nd game, and if necessary, the 4th game.  Home ice advantage just means you will have an advantage as you will be receiving the training that comes along with being the one who sent out the challenge.

Also, the playoff games MUST be scheduled in order.   The divisional games can be played in any order.

How much will this tourney cost?

Currently, it costs 100 credits to issue a challange for a game.  Exhibition challenge prices are subject to change if Catgames decides to change them.  Please note that this is beyond my control.

Divisional play will cost 400 credits.

Playoff credit requirements may vary depending on the length in which the series is completed.  The absolute maximum amount of credits any one team would need for the playoffs would be 800. Below is a breakdown.  Note only the winning team could possibly pay this much credits.

~ paying for 2 challenges (200 credits) out of the divisional final's 3 game series which ended in a 2-1 series result.

~ paying for 3 challenges (300 credits) out of the conference final's 5 game series which ended in a 3-2 series result.

~ paying for 3 challenges (300 credits) out of the I.I.C.C Final's 5 game series which ended in a 3-2 series result.

Therefore, the total maximum credits any one team would need for this tournament would be 1200 credits.

Please make sure you have enough credits before applying for this tournament.

Prizes?

Only prize at stake is bragging rights as well as being the 1st ever I.I.C.C Champion

Duplicate teams

Each team is to be represented by a different manager.  No double entries are to be accepted.  Meaning if you own 2 or more teams on the server, only 1 of them can be entered into the tournament.

Tie Breaker Methods

If there is a tie between teams in playoff contention at the conclusion of the Divisional portion of the IICC, the following methods will be used to determine the manager who will qualify and continue on to the IICC playoffs.

~ Most Wins out of the tied teams

if still tied

~ Greater goal differential  (example team A has 15GF 4GA, team B has 11GF 8GA, team A's goal differential would be +11, team B's would be +3, team A would move onto the IICC playoffs)

if still tied

~ how the teams faced against each other
meaning who won the divisional series would move on to the IICC Playoffs

if still tied

~ The team who scored more goals in these 2 games would move on.

if still tied

~ a sudden death game will be scheduled and played, with a coin toss determining the home team, with the winner advancing.
