#9 Meaford Mallards (Tahsoan)

The Meaford Mallards may have finished last in the Canada Division, but they can take comfort in their very close IICC Divisional results.  They are a tough team who lost 2 close games (1 needed OT) to the division leading Buzz 3-2. The fact they finished with 4 points is proof that they are a team on the rise and could be a threat to represent Canada in IICC2.  The Mallards are a quiet team who prefer to let their on-ice skills do all the talking as their (at the time of this writing) 18-7-1-2 SLH exhibition record clearly points out.  A word to future IICC participants, if you see the Mallards coming, don't duck!  Be prepared for a tight contest because if you're not, your goalie may be very upset with the loss he will have just received.

Accomplishments: (as of 04/08/04) (Division 4-1-3-1)
4 League Cups, 3 Playoff Cups
Coach Says:
I am a 20 year old manager, about to graduate from a Computer Network Admin program in Ottawa, ON. This is my last semester in rez where I have been having the time of my life. After school I hope I will have more free time, and will be able to compete in more SLH events.

This is currently my 6th season on SLH. I started purchasing waivers 5 seasons ago after I found an interest in the game. Started competing in exhibition matches 3 seasons ago, and this is my second season attending the odd knockout tourney.

I really liked my time in the IICC. I plan on applying again next tournament to represent my Country, and feel (hope) that next season's outcome will be better than this season's.
Team Name Origin:
Okay the team name stems from my home town where i spent most of my growing up in Meaford, in Georgian Bay on Lake Huron, Ontario. I chose my mascot to be a Mallard, because they are abundant in the area, and they had an appropriate jersey for them.
