Coach Says: (His Words Again)
Reg doesn't talk much. That's why he pawned this off on me. Your the media relations schmuck! You do it! The nice thing is he doesn't want to read it first, so here's what I think Reg would say.

Our fans are the best damn fans in the world. They work in the mills and the mines. They work hard. They play hard too and they insist on that effort from the Rinkmasters. They drink hard as well and that's why we love 'em.

There isn't a player on this team that hasn't been showered with beer when he's played well. In fact, there isn't a player on this team that hasn't been showered with beer when he's stunk up the joint. The moral here, Beers Showers are GOOD, damn good.

This team started in Conference 5, NE League 3, Division 4. That's right! We didn't take the easy way out and find some team already in the top divisions. We started at the bottom and we've fought our way up the ladder, just like our fans fight every damn day just to put food on the table.

We just missed out on promotion in the first season under current ownership. Finished second the next season and have finished first every year since. To the best of my memory we've lost one league game the last seven seasons. If there was another one I was drunk in some hotel room with Hanrahan's wife and her girlfriend. (Hey, everyone knows about Hanrahan's wife.)

Just remember, if you want to a see a hockey team that works hard and emulates its fans....That offers an affordable night of family entertainment (just make sure you say, ear muffs a lot to the little ones if you bring them to the rink)...That keeps the beer cold and the women hot (even Hanrahan's wife)...Then make sure you come to the War Memorial the next time you're in town and watch your Chiefs, I mean, Radio Rinkmasters kick some a**.

Or my name's not Reg Dunlop!

(at least I think Reg would say something like that.)

Jim Carr, media relations and radio announcer
Team Origin: (His Words)
Once we convinced the widow to sell the team the rest was easy. Well, sort of. The Chiefs were a gritty team loved by everyone in town, but after the deception, mismanagement and threats to move to Florida, we had to change the name once we took over. The most difficult thing was to convince the immortal Reg Dunlop to stay on as coach. Convincing him not to be a player-coach was a lengthy process, but once we replaced the team bus (and the driver who kept beating it with a baseball bat ....making it look mean my ass) Reg was more than willing to take the job.

Oh yeah, Reg had it put in his contract. The organist isn't allowed to play Lady of Spain.

Why is your team named the Radio Rinkmasters??

Our owner works in the broadcasting industry and wanted a tie between that and hockey.

His name remains a mystery. We like the French players asking, Who own da Chiefs? Yes, the team is Radio Rinkmasters, the damn goalie still calls us da Chiefs. Oh well, anyway, we also like the alliteration.

#2 Radio Rinkmasters (Dunlop)

The Rinkmasters had a rough outting in first ever IICC.  Coming into the to the tourney, the Rinkmasters had high hopes.  Their talented roster lead the IICC to rank them #2 overall.  They had a few unlucky breaks, and due to the short nature of the IICC's schedule, it proved costly.  Don't anticipate mastering the Rinkmasters easily though.  They're a dangerous team who knows their way around the ice that won't stop at nothing til they succesfully school the other team, whether or not they win or lose.  The Rinkmasters are a team on the rise, and should be a threat in upcoming IICCs.  So to those potential teams pondering their applications to the USA Division in the future, consider this your warning, beware the Rinkmasters.
