Inuyasha is basically the story of a half dog demon who falls in love with a priestess named Kikyo that are both tricked into hating each other by a evil demon named Naraku. Kikyo shoots Inuyasha with an arrow to a sacred tree binding him in sleep forever (so she thinks) but it only lasts 50 years later....Fifty years later the dog demon named Inuyasha is set free by a girl named Kagome.(If you want more information go to Character Profiles)It seems through out the Inuyasha anime and manga that all these demons want the Shikon Jewel (translation from Shikon no tama) that Kikyo tried to protect.Kagome breaks the Shikon Jewel and sends shards of it everywhere and her and Inuyasha have to go and find them and put it back together.They also meet characters who help them along the way: Miroku,Sango,Shippou,Sesshoumaru(sorta),Kouga,Kikyo,Kaede and alot more others.Every character except for Kagome has somehow been effected by Naraku and everyone vows to kill him.This is a great anime to watch but the manga is better in my opinion but the animation in the show brings more life to Inuyasha.
