Yes, I donated blood Tuesday. For the first time, at that. Overall, I'd call it a good experience. Considering I almost passed out and all, I definitely do it again, too!
But really, the people were very nice, so even though I was there waiting for three hours, it didn't actually feel that long. And there were enough teenagers there to talk to me.
The whole passing-out ordeal happened about half way into my donation process. I was going along great, cracking jokes about watching my blood go through a tube (I found this a very cool sight), and just feelin' pretty damn good. Then I just lost it. So it wasn't the best feeling in the world, but the nurse-guy tipped me backward and made me cough a lot. And poor Christy got to sit there and watch me go through that. I still gave a full pint. It was very cool.
Of course, the best part was the eats afterward. I mean, who can resist Oreos? (I haven't had them in about two years, so I was, um, making up for lost time..heh heh.)
For those of you who want to experience the same sensations I did, Central is holding a blood drive next month, I think. Topic 2) My Mom at the Fair: - Also By Me (cat)
She's such a clown. She rode the Tilt-A-Whirl and the Ferris Wheel, and then puked after she rode the Bumblebees! Ok, lemme just tell you that the Bumblebees are like a really wimpier version of the Dumbo ride at Disney. It's the least vomit-inducing ride I've ever seen! (It's a kiddie ride, at that.) Mom isn't gonna live this one down for a while.Topic 3) Cat's Song of the Week:

"Robot walking down the street; look at him: he has no feet." --From our acid-trippy chorus sight-reading book that also includes a really horrible one-word warm-up about a sweatshirt. Closing: Hello, people, I need articles! I don't wanna hear any complaints about this one because you can do something about it. Remember my policy about publishing anything? Well, it still stands. Besides that, have a good week y'all.Previous Edition | Next Edition [ Get Involved | Home | Songs | Archives | Quotes | Websites ]
