| Can you believe what President Bush did yesterday? I was so shocked when I turned on the television after Thanksgiving dinner and heard the remarkable news that Mr. Bush had been secreted into and back out of Baghdad. I found it amazing. I fully understand why he did it. I fully understand his need to do it. I believe his motives were pristine and just. He could not enjoy another holiday without going to his troops in harms way and saying "thank you" himself - live and in person. I want to say Thank You to you, Mr. President. You went into harms way to represent us all. I need to commend you for that. I appreciate you going in person to represent all of America to our military in Iraq. Yes, I believe in what our President did yesterday. It wasn't a trip to boost his ratings or to promote a political agenda. This visit came from the heart of a man who truly takes seriously the orders he has given to the military he commands. He worries about them, he knows the danger they are in, and he feels intense sorrow when any give the ultimate sacrifice. Now what will the Democrats counter with and why exactly do they feel that they must? I'm certain that when Terry McAuliffe heard about this, it just ruined his Thanksgiving Holiday. What is he scheming to use as a come back? They just cannot believe that a president could actually be this sincere and compassionate. There is no one in the hierarchy of the Democratic Party who is capable of this sort of character and honesty, so they just don't comprehend it. That may not be their fault, but do you want that sort of person leading your party, much less leading this country? Think about what you just read and make wise decisions.
