Uplands Alumni Society

The School Crest

Welcome to the hompage of the Uplands Alumni Society.

As members of the Uplands Family can be found in the 4 corners of the world, the aim of the Uplands Alumni Society and this webpage is to bring as many of us as possible, back into contact with old friends and to share our stories about our memorable time at the school.

To begin, visit the Alumni Registration Page and get yourself in our database. The information you supply will then be posted at Alumni Members within 48 hours. This is where you can look up old friends, aquaintences and those you barely remember!

Should you have any news, pictures, memories, information or anything you just wish to share, email the webmaster and this will be posted at Alumni News . We want to be able to share in a small part of the lives of each of us who have left Uplands, and to try and rekindle the pride we share of having been a part of this great institution.

If there are any questions or comments, please contact the following people:

In the meantime, for this page to run, we need the input of as many ex-Uplander's as possible. So, please, fill out the registration and pass on the news that this site is up and running to all your ex-Uplander contacts.

Message from Co-ordinator Douglas A. B. Sumner

Welcome.

May I start by saying how honoured and pleased I am in writing an introduction, to this our first Uplands Alumni Society page.

I am sure that we are all aware of the fine reputation Uplands holds for us, its history, culture, memories, and many excellent qualities and challanges that this fine school has.Its talented and committed staff over the years and a very likable positive body of pupils who contribute widely and support each other in developing their talents and interests. As a result, Uplands School is truly a great school.

We have tried to establish the ideals of the school by starting this Society, as of 12th June 1998, by joining all ex-Uplanders in being able to recount old memories and re-kindle old friendships which may, as in my case, have spanned over 25 years!. I hope that through Gwyn Chadwick ,Go Yoshida and myself that we are able to help all of you that come looking for the above. We hope to be able in the future to raise funds for the school, help raise scholarships for those in need of a good education and so give the same opportunities, memories and comeradeship as we had, and hopefully try and organise a dinner at the school for the year 2000. I would like to add however, that our primary objective, for now, is to see that you are able to participate fully in your Association.

In closing, we all look forward here to hearing from each and everyone of you, of reunions you may be having with old friends, etc, etc. Please, no matter how trivial the information may be do let us know, after all we are here to help YOU!.
