FIKE
Goldie died at the age of 38 leaving children from ages 16 down to 4.  My grandmother was only 8. The lives of the family moved on in time as they should, but my grandmother never really got over this very significate loss of her mother at such a young age.      Goldie died in 1919, John died in 1962.  You can read their obits by clicking here.
Goldie HARKINS Fike in her yard in Lewistown.  John and Goldia's headstone.  Click here for more stones.
After Goldia died,  her mother Mary Molson (she was remarried after Albert Harkins died) moved in to help take care of the children.  Mary was alone after her husband Ellsworth died.  John Fike also took in a male boarder Edward Coney for a while.  This is not a good picture of Ed and Mary but it is the only one I have of them.
HELP!  My hope is that by putting so much information out in cyber space someone will find it and recognize something as being connected to their family.  Hopefully those people will have some information that I don't and will share it.  Here is an example.  I don't know who all these people are in the photo below.  It is not the best photo but it's all I have.  From asking my grandmother's half sister, Betty, we believe that they are from left John Fike, Mary Molson in back, Ada (Goldia's sister), Robert Fike, John Fike, Silver (tall girl white shirt), we don't know who is beside her, Bertha Fike, Rosanna Fike, Merill Fike.
Here is a photo of Bertha Fike ALEXANDER in her last years. She is with my son Ross who is now 18 and daughter Elise now 13.   She was not feeling well when the photo was taken.  She died in 1992
