This is me as a baby with my grandmother, Stella Rose Gilbert and Harvey Sr. Gilbert.  My cousins and I always called them "Mammy" and "Pappy".
This is me with my pap Gilbert and my uncle Bob (Jesse) ALEXANDER--my mother's brother.  The ape in the middle is a large suffed animal my grandmother Stella won playing bingo.  They thought I'd be afraid of it but it turned out to be one of my favorite toys.  I named him"Mr. Bananas"  when I got older.  I loved to rock him on my child sized rocker while I fed him both real and pretend food.  We had to wash his face off pretty often.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE SOME HAIR MAKES !  Here they are together five years ago at the Camelot Resturant where we would take my grandmother for her birthday every year.  They are from left:  Gerald (fat) Gilbert, Richard (Pret) Gilbert holding his grandson's hand,  Harvey (Hottie) Jr. Gilbert, Gene (my dad) Gilbert and Robert (Bob) Gilbert.  My grandmother Stella ROSE is seated.
