Our Swing Dance Organization is OPEN TO ALL with a Few Qualifications, and No Age Restrictions. The Only Qualifications that we observe, are that any New Participants shall have at least Some Experience and Abilities to do the following:
* The basics and fundamentals of Swing Dancing, Any Style!
* Have the experience and ability in Social Dancing, Lead and Follow!
Since we need to satisfy Santa Monica's City laws and regulations (Mandated for all Street Performers), we are legally required to apply & pay for a Performance Permit, annually, and to display this permit whenever we have a dance event on the Third Street Promenade. For New Participants, we require that you provide some personal information on our Log-In Sheet before you begin to dance at this particular venue, see the details as follows.
When attending the dance/event for the first time -- see our Directions & Map, all you need to do is seek out one of the Committee Staff Members (Joshua or Fonz), and verbally notify them that you wish to be a participant. Then you’ll be kindly requested to take the following actions:
* Fill out the provided Participant's (Gold) Log-In Sheet with your personal information, name, phone #,
e-mail, etc.
* Pay the Annual, per calendar year, $10.00 Participant's Fee ($10PF) to Staff Member, Joshua. Once the
Participant's Fee has been paid and reflected on the Log-In Sheet (by Date PAID), you will NOT need to
pay this fee again until the beginning of the next calendar year.
Once you have completed bulleted items 1 & 2 above, you are then able to participate at the Third St. Promenade location, and at all other 3rd St. Swingers' hosted or promoted event/functions. SPECIAL NOTE
If you're interested in participating in the dancing at 3rd St. Promenade, and NOT in near future events, as a VISITOR or as a GUEST (NOT become a Regular Participant), then filling out the Log-In Sheet Information and paying the $10.00 Participant's Fee is NOT Required. However, $2.00 shall be charged as a Guest Fee for you to engage in the event with any of the dancers.

As a New Participant or as a UnSigned-up Dancer with the
"3RD ST. SWINGERS," we highly recommend that you add yourself
to our Yahoo Group Emailing List to get notices on swing dances
at the Third St. Promenade and other special and periodic dance events held elsewhere in the local Los Angeles Metropolitan area!!
