This organization was the catalyst for bringing back, in 1984, in the spreading and the popularity of the vintage form of couple dancing, called "Lindy Hop", the Savoy style around the world. Originally from Los Angeles, Doug has been teaching swing and performing for 4 years in Maine, Massachusetts, and Italy. He is responsible for bringing Smooth-Style Lindy Hop, Balboa,and Shag to the state of Maine, and recently moved back to Los Angeles after winning the Maine State Open-Division Swing Competition and then placing twice in the advanced divisions of the Boston Lindy Hop Championships. Doug teaches private and group lessons in lindy hop (smooth style and savoy), East-Coast Swing, and teaches Lindy Hop classes on Wednesdays & Thursdays at "The Dance Doctor" in Santa Monica, CA.
