Tijuana y el vecino poeta extranjero.
Para bien o para mal todo el mundo conoce el nombre de Tijuana.
Apenas ha cumplido un siglo de existencia pero al principio del XXI este viejo pueblo ranchero se ha extendido hasta llegar a ser una metrópoli de dos millones de habitantes.
Los versos y el diario de esta exhibición “al ojo de vecino extranjero” son unos reflejos de este fascinante pueblo.
Este escritor – su servidor, yo – he pasado cuatro años radicando en Tijuana. Soy sandieguino de origen anglosajon y siempre he querido a esta ciudad como hermana. A la mejor ella es la puerta y el puente para México con toda su milenaria civilización castellanizada.

Tijuana and the foreign neighbor poet.
For better or for worse the whole world knows the name of Tijuana.
It scarcely has completed a century of existence but at the beginning of the 21st this old ranch town has grown into a metropolis of two million inhabitants.
The poems and the diary of this exhibition "in the eye of the foreign neighbor" are a few reflections of this fascinating town.
This writer -- your servant, I -- have lived the past four years in Tijuana. I am a San Diegan of Anglo-Saxon origin and have always loved this city like a sister. At her best she may be a doorway and bridge into Mexico with all its hispanicized ancient civilization.
