Barren Realms Elite Player Ethics There are many "unwritten" rules which should be followed while playing BRE. If you dont follow them, you can easily have 10 or more players flaming your head off. And believe me... many of them will be bigger than you. The following two sections will give you my "Ten BRE Commandments" in two different categories; Player Ethics, and Co-ord Ethics. Warrior's Code of Honor Thou shall not swear in an interbbs BRE league. Your sysop may allow swearing on his BBS but if you must, please do so only in local messages and/or games. Thou shall respect my leader. It doesn't matter if it is the BC, CO, DC, or AC, you should always listen to your leader. You voted him in and you should respect him or her. Thou shall listen to my leader. Only attack BBS' which your leader has okayed. If you start attacking BBS' out of the blue, you could end up hurting you and your board a lot. Thou shall respect smaller BBS'. If you or your board are massive in size, please don't pick on smaller BBS'. In smaller, I mean less than a third your size. Many times, these players are newbies and by attacking them, you may turn them off the game forever. Co-ord Ethics Thou shall listen to my players. IF you dont listen to what your players are saying, they could turn rogue. Also, they may have good input as to who to attack. And remember, they have the power to vote you out. :) Thou shall never attack an ally. Once you have allied with another BBS, you are pretty much stuck with them for the rest of the round... unless they do something really nasty, like attack you. You may choose not to ally with them in the following round but make sure they understand why. If you DO attack an ally, be prepared to be given the cold shoulder by many other loyal boards. You may be seen as a unloyal board and may never be trusted again. Thou shall respond to requests from allies. If an ally is asking for help, respond. Respond even if you are not going to help.
