REVIEWS NEEDED!! 1/7/2000: Ok, here's the deal... I've been really busy with 2 new websites that should be open within a week. The time spent on these new websites, along with keeping up with college, accounts for the lack of updates to strikezone and is also the reason that I am asking for someone to write reviews. So, if you just got a new game and for some strange reason you feel the nagging urge to write a review of it for strikezone, I would be very thankful... along with the handful of visitors that drop buy strikezone every day. You can mail the reviews here (I'm dreaming... this will never happen.... but I'll still leave the opportunity on the very very slight chance that someone will take me up on the offer...). Currently I still have hope that strikezone will live on, and once the other two websites are online I will be moving strikezone over to a real server, so check back soon for updates on strikezone's status. And please.. if any of you care about strikezone (so far I have had no reader response on this subject... and I'm completely in the dark on whether anyone even finds this site the least bit helpful) please let me know by sending an email. New Review! 10/3/99: A good friend of mine was kind enough to write a review of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, you can check it out here. (thanks md) Another new addition to strikezone is The Weekly What The Freak? This new section is provided so that you, the reader, can speak out on any topic that kinda gets under your skin... Got an opinion on something and want to voice it to others? Here's your chance. Just mail your submissions to me and I'll see if I can fit it in to the slot. The inaugural writer for the first edition of The Weekly WTF? was mandragon, you may have noticed he wrote the latest review as well, so drop on over and take a look at what he has to say. Theres some pretty controversial stuff there. Got an opinion on what he had to say? Write a follow up on it and who knows... and chances are it will get posted next week. (entries will not be sensored for content, however any submissions with foul language or vulgarities will be discarded because my site will get discarded if I post them) As for System Shock 2, I finally got the problem resolved several days ago and am in the process of workin my way through this gem of a game.... As far as a recommendation goes I can't really recommend buying it without testing the demo out first, if the demo runs fine then I definately recommend the game. But it seems to have conflicts on a lot of peoples systems so unless your in a gambling mood try the demo first. You can get it here. Æ Ok, I know its been a while but here's the situation..... 9/23/99: Alright, I haven't updated the site for a while and for that I apologize. So, I guess some of you are wondering about the status of the complete System Shock 2 review, and rightly so. I've had a full copy of System Shock 2 lying around for about a month now and can't seem to get the thing to run on my system. I've tried literally everything but so far all my attempts have proven futile. I guess somewhere in my system there is some strange conflict with a certain piece of hardware that makes the game unstable. If and when the conflict is resolved I will have a review up on this site. Right now, I am working on two new previews. The first is of Unreal Tournament and the other is of Rogue Spear. So far I have been impressed with both titles and encourage all of you to check back here AFTER THIS WEEKEND for the previews. Also, I will be posting a review of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun as soon as I get it. It is being written by a good friend of mine and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he has to say about the game. NEW DESIGN? That's right.... I'm still not satisfied with the way the site looks and am in the process of creating a whole new look for the site. So check back soon for regular updates (hopefully), an new site design, and of course.... more previews and reviews. SITE REDESIGNED and ummm, I'm back... 8/17/99: As you all know its been a long time since the last update... but now I'm back and I even brought a new look for the site with me! Lemme know what you think of it (this statement assumes that you remember the old design). Just got a preview of System Shock 2 up, and let me tell ya... this game rocks! You can check it out here. Before I go I would also like to inform you that I am in the process of getting this site hosted elsewhere. So you ask... what's all this mean and why should I care? Well it means a shorter url, more space for the site... and it also means that I can finally say goodbye to Geocities!!!
