If you like the book series, you'll like this movie. At 2 and 2/3s hours, it get hard to sit through, but it's still fun. Parts are taken out, so there are great differences, which disappointed me. But they had to take out some, or else it'd go on forever.

Reading and watching reviews of this movie has caused a great deal of anger on my part. I saw the "Hot Seat," and out of the two reviewers, it was obvious one had not read the books. She kept saying how they should cut out this part and this part, when they were crucial to the story. She also complained about Daniel Radcliffe(Harry), and this and that. Well, to cut down a lot of her whining, she does not recommend this movie. SHE IS EVIL! EVIL! The other guy was pretty cool. He recommends it. I read another review saying there were too many special effects. It's a movie with magic!! MAGICAL THING HAPPEN! OF COURSE THERE WILL BE LOTS OF SPECIAL EFFECTS. They did a good job with them, I think.

Well, yeah. I like the movie a lot and plan on going to see it again some day when I have money. I really recommend it if you even slightly like the books.

Advisory:  A long movie, with lots of spiders and snakes(snakes are cool), and not enough Sean Biggerstaff(Oliver Wood).

In one word: WOW. An interesting storyline, loveable characters and remarkable animation add up to one increble movie. I loved it. Everything worked. But to really enjoy this, you have to go into a "kid" mode, and believe everything. If not, you'll just be annoyed.

... GO SEE THIS MOVIE! It's FANTASTIC!

I'm not very good writing reviews...
