When news of an American made Jackie Chan film came about, fans were overjoyed. Finaly they could see a Jackie Chan movie that wasn't dubbed or chopped up. The only question was 'Would the American script, studio and
director do Jackie justice
?' Fortunately the answer was yes. Jackie was given almost full control alongside director Brett Ratner (a long time Jackie Chan fan) to ensure everything was up to Jackie's standards.

In Rush Hour Jackie plays Detective Inspector Lee, a Hong Kong cop who is relocated to America. His task is to help find Consul Han's kidnaped daughter. Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) is assigned by the FBI to keep Lee ocupied so he doesn't get in their way. What follows is a great team up with Carter and Lee getting into all kinds of trouble while trying to rescule Han's daughter.

Rush Hour is the kind of movie that anybody can enjoy. Chris Tuckers comedy and Jackie's martial arts compliment each other quite well. And the two work great on screen together. Not since the Leathel Weapon series have I seen such a good buddy movie. Hopefuly this movie can produce great sequals like Leathal Weapon was able to.
