Welcome to apartment 1740 B at the 'Ville. This is my new venue of residence for the spring semester. This is where I live when I am at school. This is a more relaxed place to live at than I did last semester which is good because Tommy needs to graduate with good grades. When not concentrating hard on our studies or playing soccer, we keep ourselves entertained by playing Sega and pong, watching Seinfeld and South Park, and watching Jonesy whisper sweet nothings to his computer.
Here is your starting line-up.....
Brian Courtney aka "Court".
Even though Court is a
Coatsville Red Raider and wears Nike underwear, He entertains
us every evening while we sit and watch TV.
Greg
Jones aka "Jonesy".
This Red Neck comes to us from central PA in the boondocks of
our state. Known for having parties with no girls, T is out to
change that around for the spring semester.
Tom Toland aka Tommy T. A new member of the establishment
for the spring semester, T has been in attendance for past social
functions. Known as the Thursday night Menace, T is out to clear
his name and to be released from the asylum.
And now for the reserves....
Chris Smith aka "Smitty". Smitty, who in his personal
time is Shencky's chauffeur, also enjoys kicking T's ass in racquetball.
He spends more time on the phone than he does doing school work.
In his spare time, he likes to steal VCRs, make some toast, and
have a lot of sleepovers.
Aaron Shenck aka "Clarence". Shencky has the honor
of being MR. TACO BELL for the month of October. He enjoys romantic
evenings at Taco Bell followed by some pasta, two bowls of Froot
Loops, Heath Bar ice cream, and a episode of Seinfeld. He ends
the night with another run to Taco Bell.
Ben Culbert aka "Cosmo". Culby is always at our
place trying to find something new to break and to annoy our neighbors.
Whenever we our thirsty he buys us soda and is our chauffer on
the weekends.
Scott Cudmore aka "Cuddles" aka "Flair"
aka "The Mechanic". Cuddles comes to us from down south
where he works at the mower medic in Perryville, MD. This kid
is known for his crazy antics and hilarious quotes. "Brush
your teeth, and call me in the morning."
Steve Young aka "Youngie" aka "The Ox".
Not known for is soda drinking skills, Youngie is known for his
back in the woods, summer-social get togethers. Simply put:
'There is a party in the Valley'. Youngie is a quiet kid but when
it comes to confronting football players, he would rather take
them all on at once.
Spring Semester Highlights.
Jan.26- For
most of us, the semester started a few days early with a birthday
gig at Youngie's. We ventured through the snow into the outback
that is known as "The Valley" to consume punch and to
show the valley boys how boat races was played.
We all came back at got settled in, some
of us (namely me) were getting settled down once again. Making
the jump across 999, I know live with Courtney and Jonesy, claiming
the new title of house bitch.
Jan. 31-After
our first week of class, the first weekend of the semester was
finally upon us. As Hessy was warming up for his bar tour, the
team of Clarence, Stoney, Jonesy, Smitty, and T went on a mission
to capture the keg and take it for their own liking. 5 minutes
after the mission was completed, our plan was foiled as the enemy
was soon on to us. We made a quick getaway for another party as
Jonesy was caught to take the rap.
Feb.3- The weekend was extended by two days or in T's case, a whole other week. At 12 am on Tuesday February 3, 1998, T made the jump from a little guy to an old man and marked the occasion by paying a visit to Jack's. One hour and a Frank Sinatra song later, T was well on his way. Six hours later, T was up for his 8 am class, still feeling the effects of the previous night. It was rough, but I made it through the day and was back in action on Wednesday as I paid my first visit to the Village. It was a good night, but our minds were on to bigger and better things= FRIDAY.
Feb.6- We
decided to throw 'a little' social get together of friends to
mark the end of a great week. Stocked with various punches from
around the world, Jonesy designed the RED-NECK SALOON just in
case his aspirations of a weather man fell through. With a DJ
Ron in the house, the party was bumpin' and everyone was having
a good time. T brought the hat out of the closet and took it back
to the old school while Cuddles was tending to the needs of Freak
Nasty. Everything was good until the Rent-a-cop showed up. The
fun was over for the time being until the place was cleared and
we ventured out to the streets of Millersville to find another
party.
Feb.9- Monday
night we were surprised by an eviction notice sitting at our door.
In a panic, emergency living arrangements were made but thanks
to the slick talking of Jonesy, a tragedy was averted and all
was well at 1740 B.
Feb.14- Another
weekend was finally upon us as I made my first venture to see
LOVE SEED MAMA JUMP. It was a great time for the ones who had
no valentine. I made my usual late night rounds on the telephone
to spread the news of the day.
Mar.2- The
past two weekends, my presence has been scarce because of ventures
to WC and PSU. I was back on the scene last Thursday (2/26) as
I made a return to 11. The night was capped off by a late night
trip to House of Pasta where I almost hit a deer on the way. According
to Brooke, it would have given me good luck. I guess that is a
Philly thing.
Mar.8- I
disappeared once again the following weekend to return to the
homestead for a night. Taking it easy and relaxing at home, I
was back in action Saturday night as Jonesy, Shencky, Culbert,
Lichty (aka Raoul Wallenberg), Ricci, and myself took a little
road trip to George Mason in Fairfax, VA. After dropping off Ricci
at GW and getting in warm-up at the apartment of the infamous
Jen Jones, we ventured into the city ready for adventure.
Our destination was the 3RD EDITION, high-class establishment
in Georgetown. Needless to say at first we felt out of place,
but $104 later....we owned the joint. Thanks to the connections
of Ricci, a good night was had by all. The following day, we struggled
into DC to check out some of the sight and made our way back after
we had lost Shenck for the 20th time.
Mar.13- Friday
the 13th was upon us for the second month in row as we all attended
the graffiti party at Keefer's. A good night was had by all especially
for Hilly, Smitty, Cuddles, and myself; as we found new ways to
use a highlighter all over our bodies.
Mar.19- For
most of us, our spring break started on Thursday night with a
trip to the village to see the 'Fabulous Greaseband'. Once again,
some of us (who will remain nameless) got out of control and decided
to get up on stage and join the band. Thank goodness that they
like us or we would have been out on the street.
Mar.20-28-SPRING BREAK!!- 12 of us packed it in 3 cars and made the long 15 hour journey down I-95 to Daytona Beach, FL.
We have decided
that all stories will stay in Daytona and will only be discussed
on a need to know basis. One thing is for sure, you will never
see any of us in Minnesota.
Apr. 3- The end of an era for the Toland Family. The Fox took its last breath on its final voyage back home to West Chester. We put her to rest and then I went out and picked up Whitey. It was a great day ended very unpleasantly. On the maiden voyage back to the 'ville. I was picked up for yet another speeding violation. Stay tuned... the court case is still pending.
Apr. 9- The Greaseband was back at the Village for another show and we were there once again. This time I vowed to Jonesy and Culbert that I would not be making another appearance on stage, but that didn't last long. As the J5 began to play, I was quickly recognized (with the help of Culbert) by the band and quickly invited up on stage. I didn't let them down. I got a bigger response than the band! (I think that they want me to join.) Appearing as Lenny Dykstra, Jonesy even ended up on stage. A good night was had by all.
Apr 17-19- Ditter's 21st / DMB: A trip was made to V-Tech to celebrate the legalization of Ditter's drinking capabilities. A late night trip to Sharky's was capped off by a surprise visit from All-Pro Bruce Smith of the Buffalo Bills. Saturday, we made the trip to Roanoke to see the Dave Matthews Band. We were sixth row until we got crushed. It was a great show. We ventured back to Tech for Dit's bar tour and the late night antics of "Big K".
Apr 25- We finished up our spring season undefeated with a victory at the Gettysburg tournament. We celebrated with 5 for 5 at Szerba's. We were all surprised by the appearance of the 'new' and improved Bill Gorey.
May 1- What started out to be a quiet night at the ville turned into a night of surprises with a trip to Rick's place and a late night bout at Szerba's. We will leave it at that.
May 2- A fun filled day with many barbecues especially the Pig Roast and the White house. T & Caserio proved their pong skills with an impressive 12 game stay.
