Info of Mr Leung
Yat Chiu
Mr. Leung Yat Chiu died in 1999.
During his 47-year stay in Hong Kong, he had tried his almost in
promoting Harmonica and Melodion to teenagers and students. He
had taught in 500 schools in Hong Kong, Macau, as well as in
China. Mr. Wong Jim, a celebrity of Hong Kong, had also learnt
Harmonica from Mr. Leung.
On 8th May 1995, Mr. Leung was
awarded the Certificate of Honour in recognition of his valuable
services to Hong Kong in the name of Queen Elizabeth the Second.
Mr. Leung had been invited to give
talks of Harmonica by different radio channels in Hong Kong,
Macau, and Shanghai, too.
Besides, Mr. Leung had also helped
in the music section (theme songs & incidental music) of TV
programmes and movies. "Little Sun", "Little
Time", "The Lamp of Wisdom"...... etc, are the
famous ones.
Mr. Leung had obtained a lot of
experience of holding music concerts:
