Last year we christened our boat, Trab On III, the day before trophy season for Rockfish opened. We invited our neighbours down, had some champagne and said a little blessing for the boat and the upcoming fishing. This year we decided to name this wonderful celebration Fishmas Eve with Fishmas being the first day of the fishing season.
This year we had cake the usual champagne toast and shared the occassion with all of our neighbours and friends at the marina. Everyone loved the idea and I'm pretty sure Fishmas was officially born this year! Enjoy the photos of our family and friends as we enjoy the wonderful bounty from our Bay!

The Solitude of the Sea

Some say God can be found at sea;
Where solitude dances with contentment.
When the water is calm,
You can almost touch your soul
And each breath is a testament
That life hasn't gotten the best of you.
All that is good and all that is right
Can be found under the Osprey's wings
And in those precious moments,
When dawn peeks to see who
Treads across her watery path,
You can hear the souls of sailors long gone
Carried by the gulls.
May this vessel sail proud and safe
And faithfully carry all back to shore.
