Most should be:
     - able to start crawling
     - able to sit without support
     - able to pass objects from one hand to another
     - able to respond to their own name
     - able to reach for the spoon when being fed
     - able to turn away when full at mealtimes
     - able to say "mama" and "dada" to both parents (may not always match)

Some may be:
     - able to stand while holding on to something
     - able to crawl well
     - able to pull up to standing from a sitting position
     - able to walk while holding onto furniture

Some could:
     - indicate what they want with gestures or grunts
     - use thumb and finger to pick up small objects
     - stand alone for a moment
     - wave goodbye
     - understand the word "no" (they probably won't listen though for many years to come!)
