Interview With A Vampire
By Anne Rice
This was the first Anne Rice book I ever read and I was drawn into the world of vampires hook, line, and sinker! The book is all about a man who becomes a vampire, but never looses his human side. The humanity that he covets makes his new life straining on his soul and his malice towards his "maker" becomes all consuming.  This book is much more than just another vampire novel.
Cry To Heaven
By Anne RiceI
Anne Rice is such a master of exquisite imagery.  Her words are poetic in anything she writes even in this novel about Italian castrati.  In 18th century Italy, the castrati were revered for their beautifully pure voices. This book portrays a man who is trying to come to terms with his life as a castrati.  A hint of warning though, there are some subjects that some may find offensive such as homosexuality and sexuality in general. It is a truly beautiful book.
Flowers In The Attic
By V.C. Andrews
I found this book in a box at my grandmother's house!  I kept it lying around forever and finally picked it up and read it. Although the story was a little twisted (4 children being locked in an attic), I thought it was wonderfully told and really enjoyed.  Actually, I enjoyed it so much I bought the series and continued to buy V.C. Andrews books.  If you like soap operas, then you'll like this book. Through the series you open ALL the closet doors and meet every single skeleton. It's good fun!
