Bills/Mail
Lose your bills often? Has mail taken over your ktichen table?  Does this sound familiar? Oh yes, I was there.  We had a dining room table that I never saw the first three years we lived in our home.  It was a really nice table and I know this because I would unearth it twice a year.  These special unearthings were called Thanksgiving and Christmas.  After a while I got really tired of seeing the stacks of messy, outdated papers SO...we got rid of the dining room.  Seriously, we did.  We now have a beautiful large kitchen and, you guessed it, a kitchen table that was very close to the dining room tables terrible fate.  I had to pt my foot down though.  Find some helpful tips below that worked for me.
Mail Call!
Deal with mail as it comes in.  Look throught eh pile immediatly and throw away unwanted paper.  Open bills and record due dates on a wall calendar.
The Household Calendar
I have a large calendar in my kitchen where appointments and bill due dates as well as any other important date is written on the appropriate date.  Every year the whole family goes to the mall to pick out the calendar.  We go after Christmas when most calendars go on sale.
Magazines Belong in the Library
I put my magazines in the bathroom.  It's the only place I get to read in peace.  When I'm through reading the magazine, I put it in the trash.
